Very tough material. Easy to join with heat for custom size. I built my own drum carder and am using this as a belt. It’s working very well, and the material is just tacky enough to provide great grip!

This stuff is really amazing. I have a 1970s Craftsman drill press that took an odd 1/4" wide belt which is not made anymore. I tried this and I'm glad I did. So easy to use and really strong. Just cut a piece shorter than you need(it stretches a bit) use a lighter or propane torch to heat each end, push it together and hold for a couple minutes and good. As a woman that can bench press 380lbs, once this is together, I'm not strong enough to pull it apart. It's been working on my drill press which I used to drill 30+ holes through .5" steel plate the other day, it's still holding up great with no slippage. I really wish I could find a 1/2" diameter because I'd keep a roll in my old car incase the drive belts broke.

Like easy to cut, melt the two ends with a torch, stick together, and still working. Ideal for small projects where a round belt is needed. First belt failed because not enough heat was applied. Second one is still working. No dislikes.

after years of trying to find a drive belt for my obsolete craftsman drill press, I decided to make my own. it works extremely well after learning how to trim and join the belt on youtube.

I have a little drop saw that uses a 1/4" belt. It broke so I found this which will be enough for 3 belts. I followed some instructions I found on YouTube, heated a knife, melted the ends and put them together. Trimmed the excess where it was bonded and gave it a hard tug and it's ready to use.

I bought this tubing for my fiber drum carder. I was not paying $16.00 for a fiber company to cut a piece and then pay to have it shipped. So, I found a video on You Tube showing me how to measure the length I would need of the cording and another showing the best way to join the ends. I ordered the above tubing, cut, joined and voila!!! A new drive band for my drum carder, a perfect fit, for less than $2.50. Highly recommend. I can cut 5 bands from this 10 foot piece. Bargain!

This product is perfect for replacing the drive band on my carder! Strong and smooth. Perfectly made and the material is exactly the right composition and thickness for my Patrick Green Carder.

Work great with my rock polisher. Better-than-expected if used correctly.
