If you need extra grip, these do the job. I would not call these thimbles at all because any needle will easily pierce these if you use it as you would a thimble.

I am retired but work part time as a cashier. I hate those plastic bags as they are so hard to get to open. BUT, I bought these and use them on my thumb and index finger and they work great! I have to take them off between opening bags, but only takes seconds! Lots of customers have noticed and were amazed at how I was using them! Everyone that has troubles with bags should get them!

Needled penetrated thimble and then my finger. Wonderful idea of thimble going down on finger but top part needles to be so needles can not penetrate

I use pincs in my work, and frequently have to get through several layers of fabric, I was hoping this would spare me some pin pricks but you have no feel for where the pin is, so kinda unhelpful. Don't bother.

I am doing hand sewing and the needle comes thru the thimble when I have a thicker fabric. Otherwise I love it. I also comes with 3 sizes.

Don't so what i did and puncture it with the sharp side lol but overall i love it
