Great aesthetic, nice lighting, needs better directions:This globe set is a great addition to a study or bedroom - the globe is a bit too large to be a desk ornament (unless you have a lot of space to spare), but fits fine on a small table or ledge. The globe looks really cool even when not lit up, and has a sort of neutral coloring to it, making it ideal for pretty much any decor style. When lit up, the globe looks fantastic and the white paint on the globe really lights up, shining onto the chrome colored legs that bring the piece together and make it quite nice to look at. The one issue I have with the unit is that the directions are incomplete - they do a really good job walking you through the assembly of the globe itself, but don't mention at all how to get the ship upright and installed. After a couple of minutes of playing with it, I was able to set it up properly though, so it's not too big a deal.Overall, this is a good product and I would recommend.

This thing is really cool-looking, and it's the perfect nightlight for me. I tend to wake up a lot at night needing to pee, but also I have four cats and will absolutely trip over them if I can't see where I'm stepping, so I need a nightlight of some kind, but it's been sooo difficult finding one that gives me enough light to see by, but that isn't so obnoxiously bright that it makes it hard to sleep either. This gives me the best of both worlds as I can put it on the dimmer setting when I go to bed, and if I wake up and need a bit more light than that setting offers, all I've gotta do is tap the little metal bit at the top to switch it over to its brighter setting. It fits well on my nightstand... and also it just looks really awesome! It's also easy to assemble, and actually has a battery that you can charge up; it's not one of those things that comes with a charging cable but doesn't actually charge and only works while it's actively plugged in, so that's really nice. It's maybe a bit pricey for what it is; I feel like maybe it ought to be made of glass rather than plastic at this price point... but at least it's very nice, crisp, clear plastic that looks nice and doesn't come out of the box all scratched up or anything, and it's presumably less breakable than glass would be, too.

We collect globes in our household and have maybe 40? We have ones made with inlay stone, ones made with wood, with chalk, with buttons, etc. We have a few that light up too, but this is our first clear one that also lights up and has a boat inside. It's more fragile than most of our globes because its glass, but it feels reasonably sturdy. Easy to assemble and gorgeous. So pleased!

This globe is fantastic. The print is just right where I can see through it to the ship inside but still enjoy the classic look of a globe. The ship is an incredible addition. When I saw that and that it lights up, I had to have it. I also really love the design of the base - a perfect addition to the overall look.No issues with charging, the touch light is sensitive enough to a simple touch, and the charge seems to last a decent amount of time. I have some mariners in my family - thinking this will be a great gift for them.

I really love Globes and Maps and I seem to buy them any chance I get. So, when I come across a Globe Lamp, you bet I'm going to get it. This World Globe is a clear plastic sphere with all the continents and major cities on it. Inside the globe is a sailboat which is a great thought in my opinion. The stand is made of aluminum and is chrome plaited. You can touch a small chrome sensor on the top of the globe and you get a soft light. The light charges via a USB-C port. and yes, this globe is portable since it holds a charge so you can place it anywhere. This globe with stand is about 12in tall so its small enough to place on a bookshelf or desk. I really love this, and if you have a globe or map lover in your family, they will love this too.
