I installed these bushings on my 1996 Tahoe to replace the original bushings. I've worked on cars quite a bit over the years but these things are a nightmare to replace. Due to the "C" shape of the stamped/welded suspension arm one side starts to bend as you start to press the old bushing out. I ended up using my angle grinder and dremel tool to carefully cut them out of the arm. Once I got the old ones out I used a socket as a spacer to keep the side of the arm from bending and used a hammer and piece of pipe the proper size to tap them in place without using a press. Don't forget to use a punch or something and stake them in place like they did the original ones at the factory, just in case.

I purchased these to rebuild my 99 yukon control arms because I could not find new ones. They were a pain to install and I had to use my hydraulic press because my ball joint press was too small to fit around the wider side of the control arm, but I made it work and my truck rides great now. For anyone doing research, I learned that you can infact find new control arms for these 4wd gmt400s but you have to search for control arms for an awd chevy astrovan.

There is no such thing as easy to install these bushings, if they go in easy, probably too small for your application. Excellent bushings as expected, Moog. Lower control arm rebuild.

I bought a set for both sides. No issues with the smaller bushing(front) but the large one(back) seemed to be slightly different sizes. One side went in smoothly but the other took a lot more effort. A LOT more effort

Great Replacement Bushings, purchased these as an open box item (Warehouse Deals) and installed one side without any issues. The item was marked down and reduced my cost of repair compared to a local auto parts store who sells an identical item.

Looked really good, looks like they should fit, unfortunately they arrived a couple days late, and I couldn’t use them. I ended up sourcing locally and sent these back. Too bad, I’d prefer to use moog.
