Better quality item with more secureness than the original top that actually was on my radiator. I would recommend tops like these as it gives that extra secure when locking down the cap to secure the pressure. The other top was okay. Just felt as though it wasn't as durable or secure far as securing pressure within your radiator to prevent your temperature rising

Similar types of higher pressure radiator caps are used in automobile racing to raile boiling point of coolant. In older cooling systems back in the day, you had no overflow containers. Back then if you boiled over, you lost the coolant. Now the coolant can flow back and forth between radiator and overflow container. Releasing pressure by removing radiator cap is dangerous. With this lift lever you can relieve pressure safely without removing the radiator cap for any other reason than periodic top offs. Premixed 50/50 coolant is a handy way to do this. You can still buy concentrates as well, that makes two gallons from one gallon of concentrate. The quality of this cap is great, and sold at a very reasonable price point. Delivery was very timely. I highly recommend this seller.

The safety lever is really useful, reminds me not to remove the cap hot and to take more precautionary measures to let the pressure off more slowly. The design is neat, I would like to see different colored handles. Like purple. Round radiator caps look more normal on a radiator in my opinion but the safety feature sells it for me.
