I was a little unsure that this was a genuine Motorcraft product when I first received it, however, after a little research I came to the conclusion that it's the real deal. I did use different foam tape that I had from another project just to seal around the heater core a little better. The foam tape that's included may have been good enough though. Other than that the heater core is of great quality and has been working as it should. I read reviews on some other heater cores where it was mentioned that the fit was incorrect which I didn't want to deal with so I spent the extra money on the Motorcraft core. I can tell you it fits. It is a little bit smaller that the one I pulled from my 1994 f150 but I don't believe the one I removed was installed by Ford. It seemed to be aftermarket. Don't hesitate to purchase this Heater Core. It fits well, it's built well and it works well. All that for a reasonable price

I already had my dash apart so it is hard to say how easy this will be for some folks but it did fit right in the box and was easy to hook up. It is motorcraft and appears to be a high quality replacement core.

Spend a little more and get Motorcraft products. Build quality looked as good as original and got the job done. Heater works and no leaks.

Mechanic quoted me $750 to replace heater core.I ordered the Motorcraft core and did it myself in less than 2 hours. Was simple in my case (Ford F-250) as the core was accessible from behind the glove box by removing a small handful of screws .Total cost $58.

The styling is a little different than my original ford unit but does fit the same. Two 7mm screws to remove the black box then Seven 5/16" screws to remove the cover. Previously had a large mouse nest in the blower motor box. Thought I could remove more debris if I removed the heater core but little there. My heater core was not leaking but replaced anyways.
