About this item

  • Replace your old cracked, broken, and leaky heater core connectors with these UPGRADED stainless steel connectors.
  • FITS: 1998-2014 Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra 1500 2500 3500 Tahoe Suburban Cadillac Escalade Yukon Avalanche Express/Savana 2500 3500 4500 and many more vehicles.
  • Replaces the following part numbers: 15032062, 15151873, 15151875, 15792820, 15792821, 15792822, 15834772, 15834773, 800409, 800-409
  • Install: It is recommended to use a heater hose disconnect tool to remove the old connector from the firewall. When installing the new fitting it will be a tight fit by design, it is recommended to use some soapy water to help slide the new fitting onto the heater core tube and make sure to keep pushing it until you hear or feel a "click". Be sure to clean all the crud off the heater core tubes before installing the new fitting. Secure the heater hose with the included clamp. If you are still having trouble getting the fitting to install you can use water resistant silicone, a scrap piece of wood, and and a hammer to get it to seat. See photo 2.

After about 100 miles on the truck, one popped off completely, leaving the clip and the oring attached to the truck and dumping half my coolant on the freeway. Replaced the one on the side of the freeway and 50 miles later, the second one started leaking.

I wouldnt buy these ever again. They don't hold on on the heater core. When you push them onto the heater core then pull on it even slightly it will pull the inside clip and o-ring with out of it. The inside lip isn't big enough to retain the locking clip. They look nice but don't do the one thing you need them to do. The factory plastic ones hold 100 better better.

INSTALLED THESE ON MY 2002 CHEVY SILVERADO, FILLED THE RESERVOIR AND CHECKED TO MAKE SURE NO LEAKS. TOOK THE TRUCK OUT THE NEXT DAY WAS AROUND A HOUR FROM HOME AND STARTED SMELLING ANTIFREEZE. PULLED OVER, STEAM COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD AND WHEN I CHECKED THE FITTINGS, THE ONE ON THE HEATER CORE OUTPUT LINE CAME OFF. THE CLIPS THAT HOLD IT ONTO THE HEATER CORE LINES SEPARATED FROM THE STAINLESS STEEL BODY AND OVER HEATED. GOT IT HOME, REMOVED THE FITTING AND CLIP AND HAD TO REPLACE IT WITH A PLASTIC FITTING ( LIKE OEM ) AND REFILL THE SYSTEM WITH 3 GALLONS OF ANTIFREEZE. TRIED TO REMOVE THE LINE GOING INTO THE HEATER CORE BUT COULDN'T GET IT OFF SO NOW I HAVE ONE PLASTIC AND ONE STAINLESS STEEL. THOUGHT I WOULD IMPROVE BY USING THE STAINLESS STEEL FITTINGS BUT ONLY COST ME MORE MONEY AND TIME. PLASTIC FITTINGS HAVE THE HOLDING CLIPS MOLDED IN WHERE THE STAINLESS STEEL FITTINGS HAVE CLIPS THE CAN BE REMOVED. DIDN'T THINK AT TIME TO TAKE PICS BECAUSE I WAS A LITTLE PEED OFF TO HAVE TO DO IT TWICE. HOPEFULLY THE OTHER FITTING WILL STAY ON. TIME WILL TELL.
