I recently wanted to redesign the set up I had for my YouTube channel. I had overcomplicated how I was doing videos and simply wanted to use my phone (Goggle Pixel 7a) with a USB-C microphone. This little gem works perfectly. It has a great range, with surprisingly strong low end (many of the "affordable phone mics available have zero low end). It is a great alternative to the Rode microphones at a much cheaper price point.

I am very happy with my new Movo X1-Mini Shotgun Mic. When using the digital connection via the C port, the sound on Movo X1 is much more clear and picks up volume much better than the Tascam external microphone I was using, with 3.5 mm jack. Also much better than the built-in microphone on my mobile phone. Note that the Movi X1 does not have a battery and needs power from the camera C port. If you plan on using the 3.5 mm jack your camera or mobile device may not deliver power. And your signal will be analogue.

They send you a 3 foot long usb cable for a microphone to be used on a phone. Why? so I can mount it on my hat? Now I have to spend another $10US to buy a proper 5 inch long usb cable so it's not a giant tangled mess hanging off the side.Honestly paying a premium for this and they can not even supply a proper cable.

For outdoor recording, you definitely want to buy the $24 “Movo WS-G80 Furry Rigid Windscreen†to replace the bundled windscreen. I am very happy with the sound quality delivered by this mic. It was the missing link to take my iPhone rig videos to a professional level of quality. I am truly amazed at the videos I can now produce using my iPhone!

does not work on my canon r7 unless i have a external power source connected with the usb-c cable. Also sounds decent for the price.

At first, I was having trouble with long videos having any audio after using the mic, but I think it just takes longer to sync because the audio is working now.

Again, I can't speak for everyone on this but only for my own experience. I ordered this shotgun mic not expecting anything high-end. I just wanted something better than my phone microphone. I currently have a comica vm10 Pro shotgun mic and this one works practically the same way. Both sound pretty much the same. Overall, the quality of my audio for my videos are so much better, but like I said, don't expect studio quality sound. All I use my videos are of my kids and it works great as intended. Having the USB power it up is awesome too not worrying about a separate battery.

Le recensioni ne parlavano bene e non posso che confermarle!Lo uso solo per adesso in analogico (jack3.5) montato fisso su una sony rx10 III e rende proprio bene con un'ottima gamma dinamica sia con toni alti che bassi,è anche molto sensibile,ho dovuto abbassare il segnale in registrazione in camera rispetto ai microfoni originali.Resa decisamente migliore rispetto agli originali!I 2 supporti sono un po' duri da montare, sembrano piccoli, bisogna spingere bene per calzarli, ma una volta montati sono ok! Per adesso.. 5 stelle meritate!

This microphone comes well packed in its own case which includes cables, a foam pop guard and a furry windscreen muff. Unfortunately, despite the use of different cables and recording equipment, every recording I’ve made with this microphone always contains crackles. The wind muff does reduce sounds created by the wind but the difference is so negligible that it’s hardly worth fitting! I did have high hopes for this microphone but my experience has been really poor.
