I used in an off brand mechanical pencil and they fit great and work well. Lots of lead for an affordable price and beats sharpening your pencil over and over.

As the title says, the wrapping was already open when I ripped open the amazon packaging part. Other than that, I got the correct type/amount of lead/containers so I really dont care. Plus the price is decent for 1200 pieces of lead. If I get to pay only $5 and get the actual correct order every time, I couldn't care less if the plastic is broken. It is also super cheap so I understand that I at least found this issue. Its pretty minor so I don't care 🤷â€â™€ï¸ I want the lead, not the plastic lolThe first two pics were taken when I took the wrapping out of the Amazon package. The last two were of me personally moving them out of the bag to show I got the correct amount of containers and lead type.

This is an amazing set of leads with outstanding value! Fits 0.7mm mechanical pencils perfectly well, and the number of leads is good enough for an entire class of middle schoolers. Writing quality and durability just as expected.

After using blue Pentel pencils for years and years, the need for lead is a given. This lead matched my preference (HB) and looked to be more than a lifetime supply for me. So, it was ordered.The package of refills was delivered in 10 days which was within the estimated delivery interval. The leads, their factory boxes, etc. were in good shape with the exception that one plastic container had come open and 3 or 4 of its leads had escaped and broken.The two biggest concerns with pencil lead is durability and diameter. If it is not durable, frustration levels go up and production goes down. If it is not the right size for the pencil, you are totally out of luck.Fortunately, this lead is sized properly and fits my 0.7mm Pentel pencils well.I like the the easy-to-open plastic containers (so long as they aren't self-actuating.) However, even though the lead fits the pencils well, the line it produces on paper seems to be a bit coarser that the Pentel-branded lead. A little less dense in coverage. This conclusion was reached after two tests, examined under magnification, with the second one being a blind test. (Neither observer knew which was which.)

My daughter uses mechanical pencils for math and she needed more lead. These fit standard mechanical pencils and she said that the lead wrote and worked perfectly in her pencils. I like that these come in separate hard containers so if she loses one at school, she's not losing them all. This is a very good value.
