I use this on the doggie door to know if cats are trying to get through at night. We have feral cats in the neighborhood. It alerts the dogs that something's going through. I just hang them above the flap

I bought these to use for training our new dog when she needs to go outside. That has met with very moderate success. That is entirely my fault, due to lack of consistency. That aside, these bells are more than up to the task. They are fairly heavy, well-made, and are plenty loud enough to be heard at the front door when we are in the family room watching TV. Some reviews stated that these bells were poorly made, not very heavy duty, or weren’t very loud. I found just the opposite on all counts. I was a little hesitant to order these, but I am more than happy with what I received. If I needed more, I would definitely order again, and I would recommend them.

Got these to hang next to the doors so the pupper can ring to go in/out. These are a good size with a nice sound. They will get lots of use and they look like they should hold up well.

These work great for what I bought them for which is to help notify me if someone comes into the store and I'm in the back. It would be nice if the string was more sturdy but it works.
