I got this for my husband and he is very happy with it. It came perfectly and works as described. It’s also well made from quality materials. It fit his guitar perfectly, looks great, and was easy to install. I think its priced fairly and I highly recommend it!

So, I put this on my Fender Jazz and it has a pretty noticeable gap by the volume/tone. You can clearly see the routing of the body through the gap. Also; the holes all lined up so it's not as though it doesn't fit on my model. The pickguard looks nice and all, but with that gap I cannot recommend. All in all I cannot recommend.

While aluminum pickguards can't easily be shaved down to fit anything other than the exact bass they're made for, what they have going for them is that they help to shield noise in a way that plastic pickguards can't.If this fits your bass, it's a nice pickguard and a good value. But be aware that the Fender J-bass models have some variation depending on where and when they were made, even though they all are technically the same model.

First off, I want to note that not all 4 string Fender Standard basses have the same pickguard shape and holes. I falsely assumed this to be the case when ordering.I bought this pickguard for an older Fender Standard Jazz which was made in Japan, from the time before non-US Standards were made in Mexico. I expected this pickguard would fit that bass, but it did not. A couple of the holes were slightly off, where I'd have to either extend the holes, or plug and re-drill them. I also compared it to a newer artist signature bass (also made in Japan) which is based upon a Standard Jazz, and the pickguard holes didn't match it, either.I have a recent American Standard Jazz, and this pickguard matched perfectly. So, the product description is indeed correct! The packaging was very nice - even though the pickguard is metal, it was protected between two sheets of cardboard. The package included 12 matching screws, even though the pickguard only need 10. There was also a heavy black plastic pick included. I don't use a pick to play bass, but that was a nice plus. It has the website for the brand on it, so it's a nice bit of advertising. The pickguard looks nice, has been cleanly cut, the holes are counter-sunk, and there are no rough edges. It is solid and strong, and slightly thinner than the average plastic pickguard. I'm looking forward to installing and using it!

Pick guard for my boyfriend’s guitar is a great amount of value, fits well, is solid quality, easy to install and really appears like it was made for his guitar. Doesn’t have too many holes and is shaped well so the appearance of it looks awesome with the paint he used for his guitar. Recommended

Here's a beautiful anodized aluminum pickguard for a Fender Jazz bass. It should work with many clones, too, but replaced my genuine Fender pickguard perfectly, with no need to re-drill any screw holes. This guard is a bit thinner than the standard, comes with slightly smaller screws to compensate for that, and also includes extra screws and a Musiclily pick. It comes in three different colors- I chose the black one, and it looks great. This guard is as good as others I have seen for double the price, or more. It's another nice guitar accessory from Musiclily.
