I bought these to use to raise and lower large bird feeders in a very tall post, after a year outside in the elements they still roll easily, no visible signs of oxidation.

Using 4 of these to lift and hang front end of my extension ladder overhead in my boat shed. One at overhead beam, one on 2d ladder rung, and then 2 going off at about a 45 degree angle to a cleat on post. These pulleys are huge improvement over 4 small ones in previous use. Now effortless lift of the ladder front end. AND, they do not bind (one of other reviews seemed to indicate useage at other than straight they did). 3/8 inch nylon rope works great on these. Will be purchasing 2 more to replace 2 smaller pulleys on other end of ladder.

National MFG pulley's are always well made and last. I've built countless projects that have used these of various sizes. The removable pin is nice so you can pull the unit apart and put it on an existing line without threading the end through it. Just pull the cotter pin, remove the shaft pin and drop the pulley out.

Used this to hang a 12/3 retractable extension cord in my garage. I mounted the extension retractor on the wall and ran the cord the middle and dropped it down from there. I would have included a picture but the place is a mess plus I'm too lazy to post a picture. Overall it works really well but realized I need a second one halfway between the wall and the existing pully.

I use these National Hardware pulleys in a home gym setup. They are quiet and most importantly the cable will never get stuck between the wheel and the housing, most other "gym" pulleys have this problem.
