They look good and I am generally happy with them. My only issue is in the variance in thickness. Some are more slender than others which kinda ruined my plans for my aquascape because I was hoping more mostly thinner pieces. In the end I got it looking nice but I would have preferred if they could keep the thickness uniform.

These are real slate, and 99.99% pure slate. Jet black color with virtually no marbling. I bought all three sizes and am VERY pleased with all. Washing is recommended but scrubbing is not really necessary. They look really beautiful in a freshwater fish aquarium. The shapes are varied as expected, but perfect and natural. Unless you have unlimited time to search for less expensive sources and options, these are worth the expense.

Purchased 5 lb package and received 4 lovely black slate stones. They were as advertised,4-6 inches and uniformly thin for stacking. Highly recommend.

The pieces were much smaller than I expected. The largest piece was maybe 7 inches long but the other pieces seemed to just be add-on stones.

Shipped in a well-protected box ( yes I know it's rocks ) that prevents potential fracturing of these nice sized and shaped Slate pieces. Ordered the 5-7†rocks and one out of them all was 5†roughly.. the rest were in the 3-4†and yeah they are nice flat rocks but for the price.. they are just rocks.. no crazy cool patterns or designs just boring flat small rocks. Probably wouldn’t buy again as it was a gamble based on reviews and I didn’t feel like size was worth the price.
