I like the chains A LOT! They are perfect for these pendants I had got them for.. the 4 stars is because I wish that each roll was actually labeled the exact chain that it is so it would be easier to know which chain I'm using. Other than that they look great and seem really durable.

Purchasing a whole roll of one chain size is wasteful for me and expensive! This was a great alternative.

I've been using more stainless steel jewelry chains like the ones in this set over the brighter "silver-toned" as I'm really fed up with tarnishing. Although the stainless steel isn't as fancy-looking or bright, the stainless steel silver is still classic and looks great (to me).I like that these chains all come on spools, as well as that some lobster claw clasps and jump rings are also included. The link sizes range from small, more delicate and finer looking chaines to quite large linked chains, which would be more suitable for bracelet making or statement necklaces.I typically give any new chains for jewelry making a good tug-test to see if any of the links break. I've not had that happen with these chains, so I knew immediately I was off to a good start with these. The weight of the necklaces feels nice, (like stainless steel should) when handling. The variety of styles provided give me a chance to work with chains I don't normally use and helps me to mix things up a bit with my jewelry-making.For the quality, provided styles/sizes and included jump rings/clasps, I find this set to be a very good value and feel comfortable recommending these. Some are great, some of these have to be cut and you can't cut them easy. Not good for jewelry making

This set has 8 rolls of varying sizes of stainless steel chain, 2 packages of jump rings, and 1 package of lobster clasps. I tested about half of the lobster clasps and each one I tested opened and closed good. The chains are lightweight which is nice since most of the jewelry I make is resin. Also since they are smaller in size for most of these I would not use to hang a larger size pendant. Out of curiosity I held a neodymium magnet up to each roll, and while there was some magnetism it was weak. Only one of the rolls had a stronger attraction to the magnet, while 2 of the rolls the attraction was there but almost negligible. Overall it's a nice set of necklace chains and addition to jewelry making supplies.
