Installed on my SCL500. Easy to install and very secure. Easy to undo and clip back up for refueling. The perfect size to put gloves, snacks, phone, battery pack, etc. The zippers can be locked together if you purchase an appropriately sized lock. The straps are very long so it should be able to accommodate large tanks. I cut the straps after install. The rain cover is small and hard to put on. I wish it were on that you pull over from an attached pocket.

Works as advertized. Quality product. Watched numerous youtube videos of tank bags in this category. Purchased and used on a motorcycle trip in high to low temps, dry to pouring rain for hours. As stated in product details it is water resistant. Never had any water in main compartment. The top transparent space did collect moisture. Both from condensation during quick temperature / humidity changes and during hard rains. I did not use the included rain cover. Anything placed in this transparent area will get hot from direct sun exposure. Installed on a BMW R1250 GS used with USB cords routed inside for power ports to charge iPhone, Mifi, helmet Cardo intercom, etc. Specifically purchased this bag as it has a cord pass through slot in front. Works great. All my Rigg Gear bags work as advertized. Would buy again. Other option would have been the Tusk Olympus small tank bag (also has cord pass through slot in front).

So far I'm really happy with this bag. It's basically the size I had hoped for and attaches/fits well on the tank of my KLR 650.There's basically no organizing compartments inside. Everything just sort of commingles. Other than movable velcro compartments (think camera bag) I can't imagine predetermined compartments because every ride changes. By the end of the day getting into the bag a few times, everything will be rearranged. It's easy to get disconnect and take with you if you leave the bike. If you're not using it straps should probably be removed as they would flap and slap in the wind. Figure I'll be using it 99% of the time so straps will stay permanently mounted for now.Lots of room and while I may never use it or carry it, the rain cover is a nice touch. If I was traveling and expecting rain I suppose I would keep it with me but it would eat up a fair amount of space in the tank bag.So far so good, I like it!

I have a KLR and a DR and they are very different in terms of what sort of tank bag they will accept. I used a Cortech bag on my KLR and have been happy with it but the DR has much less real estate. This bag fits well and really does exactly what I need, carries my paperwork and a few essentials. The bag appears to be very well made. The clear touch screen area seems to work, at least while the bag is new, though I doubt I will use it for a phone. My Cortech bag is probably three times the size but considering it is unused empty space, this much smaller Nelson Rigg looks like it will do the job and fits the bike's real estate really well.Installed, this bag looks neat...neat in the sense of well thought out and not messy or kludged together looking. I was able to install it just below the gas cap so it may be I will be able to fill without even moving it.The installation instructions are unclear...more work should be done in that area, for sure. I figured it out, but if a company is going to include written installation instructions, it would be nice if they actually told you how to do the installation. What comes with the bag ain't that. That is why they got 4 stars from me in the installation category.

Bought this for my KLR650 and use it daily. The bag mounts easily to my crash bars and around the stem. Sits on the gas tank in the right position and doesn't affect the maneuverability of the handlebars. When expanded, it can get in the way a little in steep or exceptionally challenging terrain, but I quickly got used to it and just rode with it. On the trip in the picture, the bag was expanded to max capacity. I had snacks (beef jerky, dried grapes, several granola bars), a 20 oz water bottle (my 40oz insulated camelback will fit, but not recommended for long trip), glasses in a hard glass case, mileage notebook, rhino tire gauge, small first aid kit, about 25 feet of paracord, cold steel knife (in side pocket), insurance info, pen, small battery pack for my phone, my cell phone, maps, and small flashlight. This particular ride started out with 60-75 miles of constant rain. The rain cover fits very well, and it was easy to see my phone in the top pouch. There was one instance where, in very steep, rocky and challenging technical terrain, the rain fly came off without me noticing and it was run over by another rider. On our way back down I found it and while the clear cover was a little scuffed, it was otherwise undamaged.I ride daily and the pack is awesome for carrying my lunch. It zips down to very compact but quickly expands if needed. One note I will make is to ensure that the rain fly is down over the edges all the way when riding at higher speeds as it will fill up with air and come loose. It does have elastic bands that can go over the mounting straps, but I didn't use them. I pulled it all the way over the bag and cinched the drawstring and it solved the issue.I HIGHLY recommend this bag and am looking at getting another Nelson-Rigg in a smaller size for my wife's XT250.

Good> quality, colour, size of main pocketNot so good, side pockets too small even for a small phone, cable outlet is facing rider not handlebars so a bit strongly with charging port as you can’t put power bank in side pocket
