I needed a tent to go camping. I had a 6 person tent from a major brand that had one of the tent pole supports break and it was a very large tent for only a single person. Enter this Night Cat.Unpacking was super easy. Unwrap all the tent poles and rubber bands. Lay the tent out. Assemble the main poles and form an X. Insert the poles into the fasteners at the bottom. Start securing the lower clasps onto the poles and once at the top, tie the ceiling to the axis of the cross poles. Assemble the rain fly poles and insert into their holders. Secure the rain fly using the clasps. Voila. Done. Easy breezy. This tent has some really cool features. IF you have a large battery bank on wheels you have a passthrough for a cord. The windows has some really good mesh for keeping the bugs out and letting fresh air in. There is a hook at the ceiling for a lamp or small led light source. Sleeping on the ground with a memory foam cot sized ground pad feels spacious and enough space around to lay down cell phones, wallet, keys and water you have in your pockets. Not much storage space so be mindful of what you want to keep inside. At 5'9" this is perfect for me. Anyone taller is going to be cozy with the walls. To me it seems like it will fit a standard cot but not an extended cot.Cons: The rain fly does not come down the front entrance or back window far enough. If it is raining with a sideways wind I can see water ingress through the roof a possibility. At that point a tarp put over the tent and secured to the ground will help immensely and help buffet the wind. That is more weight and space so a luxury for car campers. For solo adventurers it may be a con that puts this out of competition. In conclusion there is a lot of value in this tent. It may only last a season or two but it works and it is lightweight enough.Update: Out in the wild this tent showed that it really is a 3 season tent. In Winter when temps drop you will need a 0F sleeping bag or quilt. As well as some insulating wool. It kept the wind off of me during 35 mph gusts. It has a lot of ventilation for a single person tent. I like how simple it is to setup and the included cord helped when securing the tent for the wind. I like the high tub line, it helps keep dirt out. If I had to choose again I would go for a double layer tent. Or drape a lightweight tarp over to help insulate.

Got this just before my Annual Training with my unit and holds up to rain, strong winds, heat, bugs, and grunts. Comfort is great doesn't tear when objects are placed or dropped on the ground base. The top cover holds in strong during storms. Easy set up and tear down on movements!!! Weight is nice and light will fit I'm a main pack. Value for it's cost and quality is usmc approved.

My kids are in Scouts, so we take this tent along on weekend camping trips for the oldest to use as a solo tent. It does the job. We haven't tried it in extreme cold or heavy rain, though. It packs up small and is easy to set up and break down.

This tent is a perfect beginner/short trip backpacking or camping tent. It never rained so I didn’t get to test how waterproof the rain fly or material was, but unless you’re in torrential downpour I don’t see rain getting under the rainfly or seeping through material if you use a cheap can of waterproofing spray. I used it for a quick 2 day trip , and had no issues except for the fact that the stakes are not durable . The ground was moderately tough , and using a mallet bent and ruined nearly all of my stakes so I’d definitely recommend to get some thicker and stronger stakes for this tent . Inside the tent was perfect amount of space for 2 layers of sleeping mats , my 40L backpack , 2 shoes and small cooler and that’s with extra room leftover for even more gear. I’d say for the value , the weight , and the space you get it’s very worth it . Just bring stronger stakes !

I throughly liked the room inside the tent and I also thoroughly enjoyed the comfort and how easy it was to set up. It rained in the cold weather and it was durable. I am so thankful for the look and waterproof and also the extreme cold wind it wAS Able to block. 10 out of 10!

I love this little tent. No bells and whistles, just a simple, easy to assemble shelter. Just large enough for me, and *maybe* one other person if you’re willing to snuggle. I am 5’11” and fit very comfortably in the tent. Does a good job keeping weather out as well.

Set up like any other traditional tent but the weather proofing is great and it can fit two men and gear nicely. The small entrance covers are excellent to keep your dirty boots/shoes out of your tent but out of the elements. The mesh is perfect since these Florida mosquitoes just had to sit and stare at me from the outside. I could see them try and poke thru but to no avail. Over all a fantastic motorcycle and hiking tent

I bought this tent to start motorcycle camping. It folds down really small and is light weight. It fits me on one side with my sleeping pad and all my gear fits comfortably next to me. I really like the function of the screen doors and how easy it is to set up and take down. The hook in the top middle of the tent was a great touch for me to able to hang my headlamp from it. I have not tested it in heavy rain but it did mist and I did not get wet. Great value for the money.

This is not a $400 tent, but my son has used it one night and found it to be easy to set up and it seems to be durable. It was very roomy for one person and would fit 2 if they really liked each other ☺️.

only used it 3 nights...but it was good quality. no issues.excellent sturdy quality for the price!make sure zippers are tightly closed together so there is no space to let mosquitos in...but i guess this is will all tents.I recommend this.It says for one person...but you could snuggly fit 2 people in!It is very roomy for one person...which is better than any other solo tent I have ever seen.It rolls up small too!I only used it in dry weather. I but would get a tarp for it if it rains.
