This steel caliper is perfect. The fork is tight, the measurements are precise, and the steel is strong enough to keep in any workspace. You can easily tighten the measurement using a small screw on the side, but it wonรขโฌโขt slide on its own, so you may not even need it. There is also a metal ruler included, and if I were to order this based on that, then Iรขโฌโขd give this a lower rating. The steel is so thin that thereรขโฌโขs no way it wonรขโฌโขt easily get bent. However, I donรขโฌโขt care about the ruler, and the caliper itself is a great item. Added bonus, it comes with a nice plastic case that is sturdy and strong.

Really well made tool but I found the scale a little hard to read and the depth gauge was not notched at the end properly!

Horrible quality on the ruler. Okay to use if you're just looking to be within a 1/16th of an inch accurate. Also you would think they would at the very minimum would add special markings for 1/4" and 1/2" markings. You're probably better off with the harbor freight plastic calliper.

This isnรขโฌโขt like my other calipers that Iรขโฌโขm terrified I may drop and damage my expensive highly refined instrument. This is sort of a crude caliper that is rough around the edges, but more than accurate enough for what I need. And best of all, I can keep it in my pocket without worrying I might hurt it. The inches measurement line is a little confusing at first glance, but once you realize the line is offset a little it makes sense and itรขโฌโขs plenty accurate. No complaints about this, itรขโฌโขs just what I was hoping it would be. Great value and a good deal.

Been needing these for a long time, but too many brands are flimsy and expensive. I like the quality of these and they are very accurate. I strongly recommend that you purchase it.

For what I need doing DIY bike maintenance and tasks around the house, this is a good budget caliper. It is clear to read. It is sturdily built where I'm not worried about breaking it.

Measures about 0.001 over and that's fine for the price. Looks like you might be able to calibrate the vernier scale but not worth the effort. It works. Works just fine, reliable and no battery. For the price it's an excellent value and useful to have around. Very clean, simple and functional. The knurled thumb adjust is not a rotating fine adjust wheel, just solid bump.
