Many years ago, while out on my daily walk, I came upon a pair of 6" slip joint pliers lying in the street. I used them with some frequency until they became too rusty. These new 8", stainless pliers have now replaced them. It arrive with the nut a bit too tight, but loosened in a second. They are now perfect for my kitchen use.

Very poor fit and finish. Tips did not meet properly. Pliers were stiff and the slip joint would not operate to open jaws wider, even after lubricating.

Normal pliers rust in saltwater. These are small pliers and look like they are rust proof for salt water. The problem is they are small in length and also small in the handle grip. What I mean is when you grip a small item like a fish hook the handles are so close together it is hard to grip them or twist the pliers. I added some twisted duck tape knobs to the handles for a better grip. They are OK. One of the two pliers was stiff and I had to carefully grind the mateing surfaces to get it to loosen up as the axle bolt is not adjustable.ps just reviewed the 8 inch version which were good pliers but also poor quality control.

It has quality issue. it's smaller than most plier. It stucked in one position when it arrived.

This is not the quality I was expecting. And the return policy deviates greatly from what I expect on an Amazon order. Rather than dropping off at an Amazon return location, I need to package and mail. Which is bad enough, but I have to pay for the shipping cost. And the return instructions are hard to decipher with all of the grammatical errors.Very disappointing...

Bought for corrosion resistance to leave on a fishing skiff. OK for that, but a bit "clunky" and heavy for what they do. They would be a better choice if the were simply a copy of more standard shaped pliers.

The bolt that fits through both sides to allow the slip joint to open was machined way too big, so the pliers would not expand. It is such a small bolt that it is impossible to grind it down. And the bolt is obviously made of carbon steel, so it would eventually rust.
