It’s a fine toy but that backing it just card board and I just hope it doesn’t rip. It’s already been bent out of place after a day.

Great idea but poor construction on this instrument. What works is the pretty ocean pattern on the top. What doesn't work is the backing, which is only the consistency of one cardboard plate. That leaves a potential risk of all the tiny beads spilling out if there is any rough handling. Sound created by beads is nominal. I received a free sample, and this is my own opinion.

Definitely not worth $12. The plastic ring around is low quality and the backing is even lower quality. The beads and the noise and the graphic is ok. It is a rainmaker/tambourine sound which babies find interesting. I don't think it will make it too long, especially with a rough playing kid.
