This reed is great I am 12 years old I purchased this oboe reed on my moms account. This reed makes a great sound and you do not have to blow that hard the sound comes right out. The only thing is if you like a hard reed this is not the reed for you this reed is definitely a soft reed.

I really enjoy these reeds! I bought one a while ago and decided to go on a whim and buy them off amazon this time because no one sells them in my area. All three that I ordered arrived safely and they all three play wonderfully. I’m very happy!

These reeds are supposed to be "hard scraped". They end up to be "extra soft". Marlin Lesher used to ship durable and good quality reeds; but the quality hasn't been reliable at all. Only approximately 20% of the reeds (Pro or Artists) are good enough to play high notes.
