THEY HAVE A WIRE twisted around them for some reason and the end of the wire is NOT wrapped in some way to prevent the player from getting cut. who makes a reed like this?!!!!beyond the wire issue, these are hard to get a nice tone out of.

These reeds had cracks in the cane and other defects. The would not play. Don’t wast your money. Purchase Jones or Aaron Lakota reeds. They play well on my oboe.

Reeds are pretty hard to break in compared to the ones the school provides. So far my daughter can’t get any sound out of 2 of the reeds. :-(
