I swim multiple times a week and I always use earplugs due to a condition where my ears don't drain properly (read: if I get water in my ears it's an instant infection). So for me it's very, very important to have earplugs that fit correctly and seal well. These have a decent seal but a couple major issues knock them down a peg.First, the build quality is mediocre at best. The edges of the plugs themselves have ratty edges which are indicative of poor quality manufacturing and materials, they look like they were torn out of a mold. The removable plug tips don't seem to securely fasten to the pegs; I have earbuds with the same problem and have ended up with tips stuck in my ear more than once. The outer rings are also flimsy and don't really do a lot to stabilize the plugs in the ear.Second, for the price you get a case and 3 sets of tips/rings which is fine and all but I have another, cheaper set that gives you 3 separate pairs (all the same size) each with a case.I guess if you have no idea what size earplugs you need this could be useful but most swimmers have an idea of their ear size and want something that isn't made of multiple pieces that could come apart during use.

I let others try this in their own ears and they liked the fact you could still hear but they all seemed to be on the fence about either it fit nicely after pushing it in and or swapping out the tips. However others felt that it was loose or too tight and I assumed that was because of how small their ears were. I just think they didn't like the feel of something shoved in their ears. I know two actually don't use wireless buds because they don't like the fit and usually use wireless headphones (cans). So I suspect if you fall into this category you might have an issue. I wasn't able to test this in the ocean but it passes the pool test. I am not sure but I feel like the product itself may have been a return. Because I think this should have looked brand new, specifically nothing on the buds themselves but I definitely saw something. Maybe it's from the 3D Printing process. I personally just cleaned it up anyway. It's like with anything, you want to rinse it because it may contain something from the manufacturing process. You even have to rinse off the fruit bought from the grocery store so this wasn't an issue for me.

It took a little trial and error to get the right fit on these earplugs, but once I did they fit pretty comfortably. They did a great job keeping water out and it was the first time in years I've been able to swim on my back without water flooding my ear canals. They're also easy to clean and swap fittings to get just the right fit.

The buds are quite comfortable when sitting in the ear, more so that most 'brand name' ones for me. I like that they close off the ear from water but still let in sound. The multi-piece construction as others have said is problematic as you can lose the rubber stopper bit in your ear if it pops loose from the bit you grab to pull it out. Overall fit and finish of the product is 'budget'. Nice that it includes a case, and the case is 'ok', (not great, not bad). The fact you get (S/M/L) is good, as if you don't end up using these at least it could give you an idea of what size to buy if you opt to buy a more premium product in the future.Overall I'd give these a go if I were needing them in a pinch, like if I forgot my 'good' ones at home and I didn't want to buy another premium set while I was out somewhere, but I'd probably not recommend them to friends to buy if they don't have anything.

As someone who swims occasionally, keeping water out of my ears is crucial. After trying various options, I decided to give the OceanBuds Swimming Ear Plugs a go, and for the most part, they’ve been a solid addition to my gear. When I opened the package, I was impressed with the thoughtful design. The plugs come with three different sizes (S, M, L) of interchangeable silicone tips and securing wings, which made it easy to find a size that fit comfortably. The included storage case is a nice touch—it keeps everything organized and clean, although it does feel a bit flimsy. The first time I used them, I immediately noticed how lightweight and soft the silicone was. They were easy to insert and didn’t feel intrusive or uncomfortable during my swim. They stayed securely in place throughout, even during flips and dives, which was a relief since I’ve had other earplugs slip out in the past.In terms of performance, these earplugs do a good job of keeping water out. I didn’t experience any water entering my ears during multiple sessions. At the same time, I appreciated the engineered membrane that allowed sound to come through.

Pros: OceanBuds Swimming Ear Plugs are made from soft, waterproof silicone, offering a snug and comfortable fit for extended wear. Their reusable design makes them eco-friendly and cost-effective for regular swimmers. The navy color is stylish and easy to spot in your swim bag.Cons: They may require a bit of adjustment to achieve the perfect seal for all ear shapes.Fun Fact:The first recorded use of ear plugs dates back to Homer’s Odyssey, where sailors used beeswax to block out the sirens’ songs—talk about an ancient solution!

I wanted to like these. The concept of blocking water without completely isolating sound is interesting. Most swim plugs block both. The fit with these is like any ear bud and can be finicky. You need to try each size to determine what works best. If you get a good seal these work well; otherwise, you will still get some leakage. My biggest complaint is the quality. The membrane on the outside is not cleanly attached and looks terrible. The picture on the product page must be a 3D rendering. The silicone wings are not smoothly formed. Overall these have a solid concept that needs some refinement to be a good product.
