This fishing pole is awesome! It doesn't get tangled and my son has so much fun fishing with it. We have never been fishing before we bought this but now we are making it a tradition to go twice a month to the lake near our house. My son caught a fish his first time doing it!! We were so excited and ended up throwing the fish back in the water because he was small but the experience was awesome. The fishing pole has many accessories that come with it. It's durable, made of really good material and the price is one that you cannot beat! The size is perfect for my 4 year old and I definitely recommend it

So i took my time to write this review as of this point ive had this little combo for a little over two months and i will admit taking my nieces and nephews out fishing with it has been a blast. We are more of a saltwater fisherman then freshwater. But it has served its purpose in both saltwater and freshwater as posted with the pictures above. My pros to this combo are ease of use the starter tackle it comes with isnt bad and works very well for a bunch of different freshwater fish and some saltwater fish. That being said my biggest gripe with this rod is just how flexible it is. some may see it as a plus some may see it as a negative. The flex doesnt really help when coming to hook sets using J hooks. But you can more then make up for it when using circle hooks where the hook set comes from reeling up and becoming tight with the fish on the other end. Over all i was very pleased and used it in both lure applications to dead bait and live bait applications and i honestly love it. it was amazing it was awesome to use and my little nieces and nephews loved using it anywhere from freshwater canals to the ocean. i would highly recommend this combo for anything starting or any young anglers it is very tough and sturdy and easy to get the gist of. 4.5 out 5 stars for me

I got this fishing pole for my son, because he needed a smaller pole with a covered reel that would help avoid tangles. So far it is working great.In his opinion, here are the best things about this kit: #1 - it is all his and has a cool looking pattern on the rod. #2 - it has its own case with all the gear in it, so he doesn't get it mixed up with daddy's stuff.In my opinion, the best things about this kit are pretty similar. The entire kit is light enough that it can easily be carried by him, and remembering the old times when I used to go fishing with my grandpa - where everything was his and touching anything risked getting yelled at if it wasn't ok - this is huge. The fishing experience is nicer when my little adventurer can have stuff that is all his, even though I will let him use anything he wants. The fact that the pack is very small and lightweight makes it easy to stow away as well, or carry back from fishing when his enthusiasm has shifted elsewhere. There are velcro straps inside the bag which secure the rod, and mesh bags to secure the included tackle and reel.This was a great buy, highly recommend.

This is a good starter kit for a young child. Light weight, and easily transportable, and the additional gear it comes with is nice. The fish shaped practice plug is a nice addition, that way you can practice in your backyard. The pole is a little light, meaning, this kit is best for panfish. Panfish can be a lot of fun. I wouldn't advise going for bigger fish with this, as I'm not sure how it would hold up. For panfish, it functions just fine, and they can be a lot of fun to catch as well. The rod extends and collapses very easily, just be sure to follow the instructions on how to extend/collapse properly. All-in-all, this makes a fun kit for children to use, and includes a small bag to carry everything in.

Wanted a compact rod to keep in my car for my kids spontaneous adventures. The bag it came with is slim and takes up very little space. Tested it out for the kids, within the first cast I caught a large mouth bass. Only complaints would be that it sometimes collapses and doesn’t stay extended, the bobber it comes with was hard for my kids to see (recommend getting a larger one for kids for better visibility) and breaking it down to put back into the bag to zip up was annoying. Other than those tiny issues, they were great, did what it was supposed to. Kids had a lot of fun with them.

Color is not as described. I ordered red but received pink. I am not sure what to do with this now bc it was supposed to be for my son. Every time I click on red, it now shows in the description "pink" so it'll have to be a different color entirely.They are good quality bc his last one was great! But it got "lost" at the ex's. They come with several lures, little net, and the rod is actually pretty sturdy. The rod does collapse so it travels quite well. My son was able to use it even at 9 years old. Lures do have hooks so need to be careful but rod itself is kid friendly. Fishing line comes with it and pretty typical.

This fishing rod is a hit with my 4 year old grandchild that already caught 2 fish ice fishing it is the perfect size easy to extend length of rod and is very durable and not flimsy material that will break.
