5 stars for abu gracia no stars for amazon let's talk about the packaging yall use. Which is no box just plastic wrap. My rod and reel could of been easily messed up on arrival.

I’m sure the pole is nice. The problem is it is shipped in a plastic bag. Mine arrived damage, scratched, pole sticking half out the bag, and almost all the eyelits were bent or broken. I returned and provided feedback and requested a replacement. Second one came the same way. I was going to do it a third time but the pole was no longer available. If you order from Abu Garcia directly the pole comes strapped to a heavy piece of cardboard that is packaged in a cardboard box. Or if you order just a rod I comes in a heavy duty round container and would be very unlikely to get damaged. Do not order from here, no way to contact seller, I can’t imagine how many poles get returned. It’s not the most expensive pole in my arsenal but it’s not the cheapest either. I called Abu Garcia directly to make them aware of the situation. Don’t order on here.

Very nice reel and rod combo. Was a little disappointed with the first one because it came snapped in half but the second one was fine. Overall a very good price of equipment other than one thing. The Eyelit where you put a lure when storing the rod is a little finicky and bigger hooks have a tougher time getting out.

Great pole and reel! It is worth the money. Quality build and overall easy to use if you’re into bait casters. I’ve caught 8-10 pound rockfish with this no problem.

I received this fishing rod just sitting in a bent up box with absolutely no protection to it. The box was so big around it was just bouncing around in it. 7 of the 8 eyelets were completely bent up against the rod. Oh and the shipping was delayed 5 days. They couldn’t even wrap this thing in foam to protect it. I read this in other reviews also and thought, “it’ll be fineâ€â€¦ don’t make my mistake. Order it from someone else. I bet they will try a little better to keep it safe. The product itself is amazing and cost effective. It will be my second one, if the eyelets don’t break from such poor shipping.

For a first time baitcast rod and reel, I think this combo is great. It feels well built and easy to cast. It was very easy to add line to this reel. It looks exactly like the picture. If you are on the fence about using a baitcaster, I think this combo is for you.

Le moulinet manque un couvercle qui maintient le barillet. J'ai demander un remplacement mais j'ai due assumer les frais de renvois....

Received the item with poor packaging, just only wrapped on a plastic! The handle is broken, tried returning it but non of the carrier would accept it due to over sized in length! Still trying to return it.
