Three internal bearings lead to smoother, longer casts and retrieves that result in catching more fish in tangle-free fashion. The reel features soft touch handle knobs and thumb button and is pre-spooled with 10 lb Zebco Cajun line. The reel is perfectly matched to a 6' medium power rod featuring ComfortGrip technology so your hands don't slip when casting, and provide a firmer feel with each retrieve.
Stainless Steel Front Cover
The stainless steel front cover provides extreme durability and protection for the components on the inside of the reel. The stainless steel front cover is also non-corrosive and can stand up against water and salt.
Changeable Right- or Left-hand Retrieve
Perfect for any angler, the reel comes equipped with changeable right- or left-hand retrieve for an easy and individualized fishing experience. Changing the retrieve is simple and can be done quickly.
Dial-Adjustable Drag
The dial-adjustable drag is easily adjusted to match the drag setting to the fishing situation. The higher the drag, the harder it is for line to exit the reel. The lower the drag, the easier it is for line to exit the reel.

Zebco is a name that is synonymous with fishing. But, lets face it, their newer stuff has been crap for so long that people like me look for their older stuff at yard sales and flea markets anytime we can. For budget fishing I have been using a lot of Shakespeare stuff and that has been pretty hit and miss. For every good Shakespeare in my shed is one that has needed tossed. Pflueger reels have ended up being my go to any time I can afford it, but they cost double what one of these reels do.My wife wanted this one and wouldn't settle on anything else, so I ordered it. I wasn't really expecting much out of anything with the Zebco name on it. The line that came on it, toss it, and put a quality line on there. Quality line isn't all that expensive and any reasonably good line makes this reel work smooth. It casts great, reels great, and hasn't had a single issue with the Berkley Vanish 12lb test that I threw on there. It impressed me so much that I ordered one of these reels for myself to replace a good Shakespeare that took me about 6 seasons of fishing to wear out. I dare say that this spincast combo is as good as my Pflueger President and is half the cost. Will it hold up over time, only time will tell, but it sure looks and feels like it is built for it.If you are looking for quality on a budget, you have found it.

I liked what the reviews said so I figured I would give it a try. My son uses about once a week and it has held up nicely. Easy for him to maneuver and handle on his own, which is a big plus. The color is kind of cool too.

Seems to work well right out of the box. The daughter caught a big pike on it from the boat and the thing folded damn near in half and didn't break so it gets a thumbs up from me.

This combo is pretty good, the rod is a little light weight, I did catch a 1.5lb bass on it and it did the job. The reel is a great , it works as it should, decent drag, casts good, reels in good, I have added one more bearing which makes it even smoother, all in all another good reel combo from Zebco at a decent price from Amazon
