Got this pole for our 8 year olds birthday and she has used it several times this year.It's just the right size, good quality, and has a smooth reel.Con: the first time we took it out, we discovered that the existing line had memory and remained coiled, which made it pretty difficult to reel in without a mess. Swapped out the line at Scheels and now it's just perfect for her!

Great pole! The line will break 27 times during your fishing trip surely pissing off the child and parent restringing the pole for hours to come.

Decent rod for 6 and 8 year olds but the string it comes with is very cheap. I put new string on it and works a lot better but the reel locked up after 6 months on one of my kids and I hose them off after every trip to keep them clean

I was very pleased with the weight and quality of this pole and it is a nice item for the price. Our niece (age 5) was right between the age range from this pole and the toddler pole one size down, so we opted for this one so she can enjoy it for many summers. It fits her well and she finds it easy to use.

Do not recommend a spinning reel designed for a young child (6 yo). Constant tangles. Going to get a spincast instead

El producto se veÃa muy atractivo sin embargo las opiniones previas mencionaban que el empaque venÃa abierto y el producto, entusiasmada por el obsequio para mi hijo y esposo, hizo caso omiso y la decepción fue que por no quitarle el regalo a mi hijo no pude devolverlo aún que tal cual habÃan escrito “el producto es más grande por lo que no entra en el embalaje y además estaba roto :(
