Works great, this is my first baitcaster and it's buttery smooth! Cast's perfect for a beginner reel. The rod is balanced just right. Worth it! In my opinion.

I had never used a baitcaster before this one, but this rod and reel combo was a great introduction. Super easy to use, everything is simple to adjust, very beginner friendly. I love this product and I think Abu Garcia is a great brand; but everyone knows that already. No complaints about this product.

Super smooth retrieve. Button is easy to press and easy to lift with the thumb. Nice color also. Easy to set up and cast. Plus I love how light it is. I know there are others out there that are lighter. But this is good also. Great beginner baitcaster

Completely destroyed once it arrived, eyelets for the line to travel through bent and broken, reel scratched down to bare metal. The fiberglass was even broken where the rod connects, I couldn’t use it even if I wanted to.

TipDont get sand into the reel, its a headache to clean out the sand out of the gears. I recommend covering the reel something when transporting it also to keep stuff from getting inside.
