So I got this fishing pole for a Father's day gift. My dad thought it was the perfect gift for the summer. We haven't used it yet but we plan to drive to Valdez ak to go pink Salmon fishing. Me and my family love fishing! Plus it was a great price and when we got it, it was in great condition. The size is perfect for salmon and other big ocean fish! The reel is super smooth so we definitely can't wait to try that out!

It was fairly easy to use. I only used it once. I will see this summer if it still performs. There is no reverse on the reel. It is not necessary, sometimes I like to use it. Other than that rod and reel were fine.

I used it once. Dipped and rinsed after 1 use from a pier. Came back one week later and the crank was totally seized. Took spool off and see picture of rust. I scrubbed it, cleaned and lubes it and still it cranks like I've got a shark on. Now made overseas with crappy seals, gears and cheap metal. Now it's a week too late to return. Should have more than 30 day warranty.

Had several Ugly Stiks for years and only one lost a guide but it was thirty years old. Prone to crushing if your buddy forgets he leaned them on the back of the hatch and ran several over. Oh well, I can afford more.

This item has an inaccurate description. Twice the item was ordered and only came with the bottom portion of the “two piece†rod
