I couldn’t tell you if this is a beginner’s rod or pro. My husband never fishes. Like ever (insert eye roll)I got my boys fishing rods for Christmas as they love it. And long and behold, USPS sends a notification to our email stating we have a package that exceeds the height requirements for their service. I went to the Post Office and wouldn’t you know, that husband of mine bought himself a cute little old fishing rod. It’s been used once in a month since he’s bought it. I’m sure it’ll be collecting dust by 2025.

I bought this for my friend dad , but unfortunately he pass away and didn't get to use . So my friend use it , great quality ,great size, really worth the money.

I not only ordered my original but had to request a replacement, ultimately returned both back for a refund. Both rods had a crack in the sealed portion which would lead to quick deterioration or possible snapping overtime. Honestly, better to buy at an actual shop where you can inspect-- found the same rods in shop for a bit more and none had defects.Thinking they sell the rods here at a lower price because they have cracks in them. Better to lay the extra bit to guarantee a good rod and good size.

I absolutely love Ugly Stick poles but I don't like 2 piece poles for this very reason. Caught a 24 inch black drum and the pole broke where the 2 pieces connect. Sent the pole back and the customer service was great and professional. I loved the action of this pole and I was able to whip that line out far. Great pole just my bad luck that it broke. I will continue buying Ugly Stick tho.
