This is an excellent closet rod support. However if you are replacing existing support use caution as the down rod support is deeper than what a typical builder uses. Mine is sitting at 2 1/2 inches this one thr drop is at 3". Would not be a problem but were existing rod meets wall it is drilled in on side and caulked i would have had to drill more of a hole and recaulk everything and this would have made side support weak. The measurements do not show this in picture so be careful to check when purchasing.

I used 4 of these to add a clothing rod in my laundry room. Screw them onto the wall studs, and you should never have any problem.

Nice heavy brackets with a good finish. But, there are no holes on the upper side to attach a wood shelf, and the hook part is too small to receive a 1 1/2" round wood dowel. Those dimensions are not included in the description. If you are using a thinner rail and don't need to attach it, these will be fine.

It’s very sturdy and the hook part don’t bend as easy like the ones I bought from Walmart I could bend those with my hand I know it wouldn’t hold up a clothes rack

The bracket is a great but it lacks holes on the top so we could screw the shelf down so now we have to drill them all. If not for that I would give it a 5 star review. We didn’t realize this until it was too late to return them. We should have paid closer attention to the pictures.

Stout as heaven!! Only issue: I did have to screw holes on the top of the brackets only because the 100yo lumber is not perfectly square (not because of the brackets).
