This is the bar that came with my Echo CS600P 20" chainsaw, and the only one I've used, so I can't compare it to the lesser priced ones sold at the big box stores. The difference seems to be in the radius of the nose, this one being more rounded. I'm assuming this increases the possibility of kickbacks, but this is a professional bar, presumably more aggressive, but not something someone with some experience couldn't handle. Mated with a Super 70 chain (NON-Low Kickback) this thing can really cut. The price for this one is almost double when compared to the homeowner grade bar/chain combos available from big box but so is its performance. A replacement nose is also available, easy to install, and the remainder of the bar can easily hold up through at least one nose replacement, making the initial sting of its high price more bearable.

Works great. Had the Oregon light version of this on the saw and fried the three rivet nose sprocket doing some cutting with the top of the bar. This one has a larger bearing in a replaceable nose. With a larger nose more care has to be taken to avoid kickback, however.

Well made quality. No warping with heat. Still going strong cutting 100’ tall cypress post Irma. I didn’t set out to be a lumberjack, but I can drop trees with the best of them now. Nothing like a hurricane to get you upskilled.

Ordered the bar based off listing picture as i like the looks of the bar to match with a vintage restored mcculloch chainsaw. What i received was a much different, bland looking bar.

Put this bar on my homelite xl700 with a full chisel skip tooth chain and it Rips, cuts thru 20 inch trees like butter, love this bar and got it for $46, great deal and product, I couldn't be more pleased

Bought this bar as an upgrade for my Pro Mac 1010. This is a nice upgrade for this saw. Fit's as it should and cuts really well with the Oregon full chisel chain.
