I struggle to grow plants, and have had some online purchased seeds fail to sprout at all - but these have almost all sprouted every seed planted. One variety was maybe 60% successful in sprouting, but even at that I will have more basil than I will know what to do with. For the other seven; it appears that only 1 seed didn’t sprout. I planted about 9-18 of each variety to start with, and considering that all of the varieties have produced something so far; granting five stars, despite the one being a little lower yield.My sprouts are only about an inch or so high; but can definitely see the differences in the varieties already. Definitely looking forward to getting to harvest fresh basil for cooking; and getting to taste some of the new (to me) varieties!Update January 2025 (original post July 2024)STILL enjoying the harvest of basil from that first planting. I usually just pull some of each variety to add to what I’m making - they have such a variety of flavor from one to the next, it really makes for a complex flavor profile. My favorite to do is use in Caprese salad and to top off my Asian soups with fresh leaves - YUM!I always meant to transplant them to an outdoor growing area; but am still just harvesting out of my window box as needed.Super pleased with this purchase! As I said - I can’t seem to grown anything and these have been successful!

This was a wonderful variety pack of basil. High germination rates, quality growth, and tasty basil. The purple basil was a new favorite! I would buy seeds from this company again.

I am a new gardener and many basil varieties are easy to grow. Once I learned this, I wanted to try every variety I could get my hand on! This pack is giving me the opportunity to try them all. Not all of my purple basil seeds sprouted, but the rest did pretty good.

The quality and germination rate of these seeds is execellent!! I am growing them in a raised bed. First i put down a bed of FoxFarm potting soil, then i put down approximately 1.5 inches of seed starter (peat moss) on top of the potting soil. They germinated nicely and when the roots hit the FoxFarm soil the plants grew quickly. I will be buying from this seller again! I am thrilled with the quality of the seeds! A+++++ product!

Summer garden is done and wanted to grow basil indoors for the winter, and to see if this variety pack would be great to use in next year's garden. I plan on growing enough in the summer to freeze in ice cube trays for winter dishes.I didn't know there were so many varieties of basil. Very tasty and adds wonderful flavor to homemade dished.Will definitely purchase again.
