The wedge end is placed between the Pitman arm and steering gear box and with just a few hammer blows it separates them. It works on 1988 and newer Chevrolet and GMC 1/2 and 3/4-ton 4WD pickups Suburban Tahoe and Yukon.

It fit and worked properly for the job. Use a three pound hammer and it should get your pitman arm off easily.

This tool worked very well and fast on removing the pitman arm from steering gear. Other tools simply wouldn’t work or fit. I couldn’t believe it within 10 seconds I had the arm off. Never had to unbolt the steering gear either.

Not only will you not get the Pitman arm off but you will ruin your steering box and have to pull it anyway. Dont try to use this tool, you will regret it like I did.

This worked perfect to pop the pitman arm off the steering relay rod, the standard pickle forks you get in kits will not be large enough for GM 99-06 trucks.

It separates it but if you hit the remover to hard it will bend the steering box spline and damage your steering box
