Light dimmer gave good control of light output without flairs or variations from pre-set intensity for incandescent lamps. Did not use it for LEDs yet.

I had originally bought a 50 watt outdoor work light to eliminate after dark grilling or other activities on my deck. This light turned out to be too bright, so I did a search on all weather dimmer switches which turned up this Aubric device. It not only allows me to set the illumination level but it is controlled by an RF remote that has on/off but preset and variable dimmer control. Perfect! Now, if I want to see what is going on outside, I can do so from the comfort of my living room couch. Unfortunately, within the first few minutes of use, the unit stopped responding to the remote. I immediately sent an email to Aubric describing the problem and got an immediate reply suggesting a method to re-pair the remote, when that did not work, Aubric offered to arrange for a replacement to be sent which has arrived and works perfectly. There is no human endeavor that has a 0% error rate. Sometimes things do not work or people make mistakes. It is not the mistakes that are made but how they are handled. In this case, my correspondence was with a single individual who bent over backwards to insure that I had a working product and was happy with the customer service that was provided. I love the product and the response to the item that did not work was first rate. I recommend this vendor without hesitation.

I used this dimmer for a set of edison style string lights. It worked great for about two days. One morning, I woke up to find the string lights at max brightness (I had left them at around 40%). I went outside to unplug the dimmer, and it was extremely hot to the touch. I burned my thumb when I picked it up. Thankfully I got it unplugged, and nothing caught fire. Would not recommend.

I am using it with a photocell, which causes my outdoor lights to come on at dusk. Compared to another purchased dimmer, I like that this product remembers the on/off setting. With the other dimmer, I have to turn it on every night with the remote. Live and learn. The seller was helpful in confirming this feature before my purchase, and sure enough, it works as they said it would.

This unit is sturdy, has great features (some of which I will never use unless I am trying to induce a seizure) and can power quite a lot of lights. I originally bought the "Outdoor Dimmer Outdoor Smart Plug, Led Dimmer for String Lights, Smart Plug-in Light Dimmer Compatible with Alexa, Google Home, IP44 Waterproof, Wireless Remote Control", which couldn't power many lights at all and would just flash on and off rather than dim sometimes, and it was kinda flimsy (although it did have a cool app, which I then used to repurpose for running xmas lights on a schedule). if you are just looking to have a dimmer with remote for a product that seems well constructed (solid), this is your dimmer. If you need an app and want janky features, get the other one.

El empaque escueto y el instructivo casi inexistente me dieron mala espina cuando lo recibÃ, pero al final, es un excelente equipo. Bien construido, la carcaza es de metal y está adecuada para la intemperie. La instalación no tiene ciencia y la operación tampoco. Lo que tiene este atenuador que le falta a otros incluso más caros, es la posibilidad de aumentar o disminuir la intensidad de los focos del 10 al 100% en intervalos de 10%. También es de notar que los focos no parpadean como con los atenuadores analógicos. Tiene algunas funciones que pueden o no ser de utilidad como el timer para que se apague solo en un tiempo definido, y efectos estroboscopicos. En fin, fue una excelente compra.
