Excellent kettle, boils fast. Has a classic look. Plastic body makes it super safe as it remains cool enough for you not to get burned. Base is sturdy and grippy so it stays in place when you lift the kettle. The spring loaded hole on the top to fill without opening the cover works great and makes the kettle very accessible.

I got this OVENTE Electric Kettle for my office. I have an electric kettle at home and love it. We do have a hot water spout at work, but it doesn't always work. After the last time we had to put a ticket in for repairs, I decided to get a kettle for my office so I could continue to enjoy hot cocoa or tea without waiting for the spout to get fixed.This arrived quickly and packaged well. The kettle looks just as pictured and the green is in fact, that green. It works flawlessly and heats up water quickly. Once it reaches boiling, it turns off on its own. My only complaint is one I have with every kettle I've owned...they can be a bit difficult to clean. Aside from that, this was a great price and a must have for my office.

I purchased one for myself and one for my mother after our trip to Samoa. Lots of places there do not have hot tap water. We utilized their water pots to heat up water to take the edge off the freezing spring water showers/baths but we also used it for the instant coffee that is everywhere there as coffee beans aren’t as prevalent & of course for tea. We were so impressed with the kettles and wondered why we never had one at home. We both have the stove kettles- while functional, they take forever to heat up & don’t have an automatic shut off like this thing does. It heats up so fast it feels luxurious to use! This particular model had lots of great reviews and the price that I got both of ours for was exceptionally great. I ordered them as we were waiting to board the plane home & they were waiting on us when we got back! I use mine at least every other day for tea but what I also like to use it for is my mop water or any time I need really hot water FAST !! I never knew what I was missing. My mother called me about a week after we got back and said she loves hers. You can heat up enough for a cup of tea or the whole pot. It’s very user friendly {off/on}, it lights up when heating, dings & shuts off once it reaches boiling. So far this kettle works perfectly. The handle & pop top do not heat up at all, handling it is nice & comfortable. I was worried about getting splash back but the pour spout design is fantastic. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the cord/plug is heavier than the base. So when you lift the kettle off the base shifts. It’s not a deal breaker but it would be nice if the base were a little heavier. I like the lightweight of the kettle but not the base. This one is simplistic, lightweight, fast and budget friendly. If you’re looking for that, then you will love this kettle. If you’re look for something substantial and top of the line, this one will feel cheap because it’s so lightweight and mostly made of plastic. For me, it’s perfect because I only need it to heat up fast! It’s also not loud which is great in early morning brain fog.

So far I love it but I've only used it once to see how long it took and make sure the light and automatic shut-off was working properly. Both worked wonderfully, lights up while it's on and shuts off when it's done. At max capacity with cold tap water it took approximately 10 minutes to boil. This is not maintaining a bubbling, rolling, overflowing boil, in case someone for some reason expects that, but it is and it's perfect for my uses(reg and loose leaf tea and the occasional instant soup). To clarify it does bubble up for those of you who may not know how these kettles work that is what triggers the shut-off so it then goes back to its resting state. The handle remains cool enough so no danger there, the body of it is decently hot though as is to be expected. Currently it has been shut off for 14 minutes and is still steaming. The way I drink tea I could easily drink a cup and still have enough hot water for another which is kind of awesome.Cons:The plastic is obviously a little cheap feeling as a few others have mentioned. This is really inconsequential to me as the price is low enough I would expect Something to be on the cheaper and I'd rather it be that than say the heating element. It's still decently think and so far appears to distribute or not distribute heat as it should, so not a big deal. As a side note is also still looks fairly nice.Cleaning. Okay so these things are kind of always a bitch to clean. For this one the mouth is fairly small so it was a bit difficult to get my hand down in it to wipe it out(and I am a fairly small woman). Again, a lot of these electric kettles have this issue so to be expected. The kettle cannot be submerged so the outside just needs to be wiped down with a damp cloth or sponge and if any soap is used make sure the soap is cleaned off and it's completely dry before use. Now for the little filter. None of my old kettles have this so it's a new, kind of cool little feature for me. There's nothing really telling you how to remove it or replace it so I had to mess with it a little to figure it out and with the cheap plastic I was a little scared to do so. Was also kind of annoying with the small opening trying to see and feel but it slides out with a little pressure and then you slide it in and pop it back into place so pretty simple once I figured it out.The chord. So the chord is reallyy short. Like you should probably just put it right in front of the plug in. This is probably the most annoying con for me cause the spot I had is really right next to the plug in but still far enough away that it barely reached and my kettle is practically against the next item on my counter. I did plan on getting a strip for that outlet so I'll make it work but was still a bit frustrating. So prepare to have it directly in front of a plug in if you keep it on your counter.Packaging. Okay so I noticed others mention this in reviews and was worried about it but mine showed up all in one piece undamaged. BUT I can see where the concern comes from. It is packaged in a plastic bag inside a box inside your standard Amazon so no not a lot of cushion going on if the handlers were too rough I could easily see it showing up damaged.Side-note: now at nearly 30 minutes and still steaming so that's pretty awesome for a ten minute heating time.Otherwise everything looks good I'm giving 5 stars as none of my cons are more than minor inconveniences I mostly expected and don't really differ from anything in the listing. Great bang for your buck, I'm super excited about it and can't wait for the much needed tea-time it will bring me! 😁

I love this little electric kettle. I saw the great reviews and the low price and decided there was nothing to loose giving it a shot. I've had it for ~6 months now and it's great! Simple and very easy to use. I love that it reaches boil quickly, has an auto shut off when the water reaches boil, and is good for 1 cup of tea or several.

There's a screen in the spout which I wondered about, ends up being useful for hard water. Doubt it will last a year, it doesn't feel made sturdy enough to be a lifelong kettle. Disposable life.You can pop the screen out and back in (or it's defective). Cleans up pretty well. Body gets hot. It's light weight. You do have to pour slower than, the screen is very fine and tightly wove ..... don't rush.
