This is an excellent pair of brushes that I’ve been using when baking bread. I use one to brush away excess flour when preparing dough for baking. These brushes are marketed as pastry brushes but they are also excellent for basting, applying sauces or oil, egg washing, and many other uses. The natural bristles are soft but firm, do not shed and get left behind on food, and clean easily with warm soapyThe handle is comfortable to hold, and it’s long enough to keep your hand away from hot food or liquids. The 2-inch width is a perfect size for glazing or basting and fits well into smaller bowls or jarsOverall, the brushes are simple, functional, well-made, and a good option for anyone looking to add to their cooking/baking arsenal. If you’re looking for a reliable basting or pastry brush, these are worth it.

I don’t know if I’m overly aggressive with the brush, but I’ve had several lose bristles on the food while using. He’s of state secure so far.

Kinda cheap. Bristles already falling out before use. To the maker of these - the only requirement should be bristles that don't fall out the moment we get the item in. Thanks.

I try to use as little flout as possible when baking pie shells or cookies but always seem to end up with flour everywhere. I can use these to brush off any extra and they are light enough not to mess up the dough. When done, they wash up easily with soap and water...and then let them dry. They do dry a bit stiff as I don't want to add anything like a softener to them...but brush them back and forth across my hand a few times and they are as soft as before.

I just got the chance to try these brushes out during our yearly Halloween open house. I used them for basting the roasted ham and beef roast and they worked well. These type of brushes usually shed a few fibers when used but I didn't notice any of that with these. Wash the brushes in hot soapy water and rinse well. I like that they were wider that the ones I usually use, as they cover a bigger area faster.

My wife really likes these brushes - they are a pleasure to work with. The head of the brush is fairly wide and the natural bristles are nice and thick. The wooden handle is very comfortable. The brushes are easy to clean. They are so much better than silicone bristle brushes - there is no comparison.Overall, a very good quality product.

I was surprised at the size of these brushes. They are like small paint brushes. They have soft bristles and work well in basting and spreading liquids. They clean up easily by hand and the bristles stay intact. Nice.
