Pure graphite crucible can not be heated by carbon furnace or charcoal kiln. It will be oxidized and broken. Pure graphite will start to oxidize at 752 degrees Fahrenheit/ 400 degrees Celsius.
The withstand temperatures can be 3200 degrees Fahrenheit if you use air electric furnace. The withstand temperatures can be 5000 degrees Fahrenheit if you use vacuum or gas protection furnace.

Best bang for your buck is to get this set of 3they run about $8.00 each but when you get this set of 3they are $7.00 each.graphite will where out slowly and at this price it's ok, they hold right at 1 lb. of copper in each mold

One of the three cracked and broke on me during second pour while I was trying to get the ingot out. Who knows, maybe I smacked it too hard? The other 2 are holding up well.

Have cast about 100 copper and alu ingots with these 3 moulds. They work, however the walls will wear thin eventually. They won't last forever, but at that price it's okay.
