I work with metals, specially silver and gold, this mold is fantastic, having a smaller ingot for wire and rings is a Lot of less rolling mill work. -I have also the regular wire ingot, the horizontal rectangular long cast iron and the ingots are too large-, plus pouring vertical in this ingot is just perfect, gravity works great. It is solid, sturdy, not too big can be used on the bench -with proper insulation underneath- and yes, it gets Hot, but it is molten metal inside.Remember to oil it a bit before pouring, I use the spray oil for the garage door and it works great.
