Pure graphite crucible can not be heated by carbon furnace or charcoal kiln. It will be oxidized and broken. Pure graphite will start to oxidize at 752 degrees Fahrenheit/ 400 degrees Celsius.
The withstand temperatures can be 3200 degrees Fahrenheit if you use air electric furnace. The withstand temperatures can be 5000 degrees Fahrenheit if you use vacuum or gas protection furnace.

For the low cost - this graphite mold makes very smooth, clean metal ingots. I didn’t need to sand bottom or sides at all. No holes, divots or blemishes on sides that touched the metal. Metal came right out each and every time. Made multiple metal ingots already. Highly Recommend. 5 Stars!

Works great and the finish is nice on the inside, it transfers NO marks or anything into the ingot. Should last a long time for me since I'm using it for lead alloys, pewter and other "Low melt" alloys. Some advice for anyone else buying this for low melt alloys. If you use alloys containing significant amounts of bismuth, DO NOT pour it into this mold. It won't come out once it cools AND it will crack because bismuth is one of the few metals that expands as it cools.

Good ingot, makes perfect cube just wish I would have paid more attention to dimensions much more smaller than I was expecting but after taking another glance at product description, the dimension are listing ....its small !!!!!

Got exactly what I ordered. The product feels solid and well made. There hasn't seemed to be any issues with having molten metals in the mold. The only thing I will add is that handling it for a while will leave a little bit of graphite dust on your hands sometimes but it can easily be washed off.

Definitely NOT new at this, have many molds (prob to many!) did the pre heat and poured Alum, copper, and one Nortic Gold cube. a bit hard to get out... its tight... well on the 4th pour, i was doing lead... pre heated, and started the pour and "POP" one of the sides just broke off... Not going to replace, to much trouble to remove molds, and its really to small, and the sides are WAY to thin... the walls should be 3x-4x thicker than they are...
