These 16 mm clips hold deer netting to a 1/2 inch CPVC frame over my tomato plants. I didn't break any of the clips during installation but I could hear just a bit of a crack with some. They are not hinged and they're just barely flexible enough to slide over a half inch shaft. They probably won't last many seasons. The product would be improved it if were made with a more flexible plastic. I'm doing fine with them.

They worked as described, and they held up in cold weather. I recommend this product.

I bought these along with garden poles and netting to use so I could cover a couple of vegetables I transplanted. I needed to keep them out of direct sun until the plants recovered from the transplant. I doubled the netting and the clamps held the netting to the poles perfectly. It does state in the description: "these 10mm/16mm clamps are only suitable for 10mm/16mm outer diameter pipe" so make sure they will fit your needs before purchasing.

Given these don’t actually shut - there is no true hinge - I think it is misleading to call them clamps. I imagine they will stay on place once fabric (only of a certain thickness tho) is between clip and support. But if you want to be able to “clip†them on to the support whileyou are moving or not using row cover etc, or keep them attached to poles when storing, they are useless. They fall right off.Sending them back.

This are not clamps. They do not open they can only go around one size bar. You can not clamp a clear plastic sheet/tarp to a fence, it will not stay, the wire on the fence is to small, and the products are not clamps. I needed them to cover my plants so I could hold the heat in at night.

They are hard to squeeze open/close and when the wind blows they move up on the arch. Other than that they worked great.I used them over my flowers and shrubs when we had freezing temperatures for a few days.

The cost is good and they are sturdy. However, they are not very flexible. If the circumference of your garden frame is not exactly the same as these clamps the clamps are useless. If your frame is too small, they do not grip. If too large, they pop off immediately.

The holding power is a little weak when they are left on for a season, but do the job well.

Product took about a week to arrive [no problem with that however]. Took chance on it fitting tube and it does. How long plastic will last in sun will have to be determined. Does what I need it to do and that is to clamp netting onto tubs.

Lesson learned.. never buy something from amazon without reading reviews. These "clips" are useless. They do not fit the standard pipe you would use for a greenhouse or hoop house. They don't have a spring either so I'd imagine they would be stretched easily and only be good for a one time use, that is if you have a thin enough tube/pipe you're using them on.Would not recommend. Not sure how this is a #1 seller in greenhouses.
