I was previously using mixed media or watercolor paper to try out oil pastels, because that's what I had on hand. I was having trouble getting anything to look good and it was a fight to blend and layer.I bought this paper and it's like night and day! My pastels felt so easy to use and blend, I will definitely be buying more of this!

Smooth paper. Packaging does indicate 240 gsm and 30 sheets. That’s basically all that can be understood unless you read Chinese. Package doesn’t match the white package color in the product picture. Couldn’t swear that it is hot pressed paper. Also thought it was a PAD of paper, not loose sheets. Not sure that I’ll order again. Will have to see if the loose paper is worthy of $10.99 for 30 A5 size sheets. I’ll update after I’ve used a few more sheets of the loose paper (not a pad as advertised since that would indicate the 30 sheets were attached to a cardboard backing of some sort)..
