About the oil leakage issue, because every vacuum pump is tested and operated with oil before shipment, after that, the oil will be poured out, but there may be a little rested in the pump, which may cause oil leakage during the long transportation. If you find the oil leakage on the surface when receiving the product, just wipe it and then use.

So far I'm about 1 month into using this Vacuum chamber, and so far it was been perfect for my needs. I'd say I degassed about 10 pints of silicone so far without any issues. The pump itself isn't loud for the time it takes to reach max pressure. Vacuum holds for after the pump is shut off. I definitely would recommend this to anyone starting out.

spits oil everywhere. pump motor gets hot relatively quick. didnt come with any oil like it says it does.

The pump burned out our socket after the second use. The pump generated tons of oil vapors and gets extremely hot in 30 seconds. After second use doesn't work at all burning any extention cable. Low quality product. More over that you need to pay for the return of 11kg machine by yourself!! That is fully unacceptable work from Amazon and from this seller.

As others have mentioned, the included instructions are pretty much useless and/or incorrect.It did come with sufficient parts/tools, but the wrench that's punched from a piece of metal is too big for the valve that installed on the pump itself, and too small for the 1/2â€~1/4†adapter that is also included (there's only 2 hex shaped parts in the whole kit, besides the lid nut!). No doubt most people will have an adjustable wrench in their home, so it's not a huge issue. One of the silicone washers included with my kit was already broken. Unfortunately, that means the entire thing is useless until I can get a replacement. The parts list claims that it comes with a 4.9ft hose, but in actuality the included hose was only 3.25ft (attached photo). Luckily, a 3.25ft hose is sufficient for operating the equipment.The instructions also claim that you need to use the included hex wrench to install/remove the oil drain plug, but the oil drain plug on the pump is just a Phillips head screw (attached photo)! 😖😖 Bottom line.... these kits aren't exactly made for precision and/or laboratory type work, so keep your expectations tempered. I can't comment on it's functionality until I find a replacement silicone washer, but it seems like it should work just fine once that issue is resolved.

Some washers were broken - seems rather common. Instructions should be clearer but rather easy to put together. ADD THAT OIL - it is needed. Works just fine, even better and faster than i thought.

This works pretty well. The instructions are garbage, written by somebody who's never seen this machine before, but youtube fills that in. It only goes to -27, not -30, but it gets my bubbles out, so that's okay

It's not huge the chamber but using a sort of rack to place and remove the resin molds (like kilns use) I was able to easily degas a larger piece.Top lid is super thick to prevent cave in under pressure and the pump didn't have any trouble with this size chamber. Honestly not bad as it is half the price of some other models.Note you need to add your own oil (dont overfill!) Before using the pump dont forget!Also while I was assembling the hoses I also oiled all the o-rings to keep them fresh, but they seem ok on this review unit and kept the seal.
