This ConnBull PCIE 5.0 riser cable ensures compatibility with current and future Gen 5 GPUs like RTX 4090 and RX 7900 XTX, fully replacing Gen 4 and 3 risers. It's designed for builds needing vertical GPU mounting, improving airflow and aesthetics without sacrificing performance. The 200mm flexible, foldable cable aids in clean cable management. While at $70 it's a pricier component, this PCIe 5.0 riser is vital for unlocking the full potential of new GPUs, especially in small form factor builds where Gen 4 risers may bottleneck performance. A key upgrade for maximizing next-gen GPU capabilities.

This riser cable is pretty simple: it lets you get your GPU mounted in other orientations: if your specific case requires such a thing, this is a good option. It seems to be well made and the mounting plate on the one end is a nice touch. The ribbon cables don't have a ton of flex, but enough to get the job done. Ultimately, this did not work for what I needed, but that isn't the fault of the cable: I just grabbed it on a whim hoping it would accomplish what I needed but it just didn't fit properly for my use. Still, it works and should be great if it fits for you.

2 stars because I want to give it the benefit of a doubt in case it works with 5.0, which I haven't tested due to all my stuff being 4.0. But this is advertised as backwards compatible, so, I don't know what to tell you. What I do know is that I tested this cable with several run-of-the-mill cards, namely, a 3060, a 5700XT, and a couple of specialized old Matrox cards. Neither one of them posted. It's like the cable didn't even connect. And before you ask, yes, I've double- and triple-checked everything and ran DDU between swaps. Besides, all cards post fine with my old cable.

4.5 stars, .5 star is for the 'always room for improvement clause,' although I can't and won't claim to be I.T. person enough to know specifically what that may be with this. I'm working on a sort of 'oddball' build idea and a remote GPU is part of making use of the available space. I'm still a novice to upgrading, updating, restoring, and building computers, so my frame of reference is pretty this as yet, but for quality, I've yet to see a piece of cord better than this. It'll be a cinch to install once I get my placement sorted out; after all of that and this particular build in up and running I'll be able to tell how well it works, but I see no reasons to suspect it'll do less than expected and intended.

This PCIE 5.0 Riser Cable is well made and sturdy. I don't yet have any PCIE 5.0 devices to test it with, but it seems to work perfectly well with 4.0 devices as well. The silver/grey color combo is a bit different, so make sure it matches the rest of your build if it will be visible. The price is high, but not bad for 5.0 compatibility.

This is a pretty simple vertical GPU moint. What I really like about it is that the female connector sits atop a piece of aluminium. The mount that I had previously was not, and bent under the considerable weight of my 30 series RTX. This mount in contrast seems quite robust and ready to take on the weights of the 50 series and beyond. The price point is reasonable, and while I cannot verifiy PCIe 5.0 - I can verify that my new PCI-4 card works just fine with it.Astetically, I have a white computer and I was pleased to find a matching part.

This worked with my RTX4090 mounted in a Corsair 5000D, connected to my ASUS motherboard. As other reviewers have noted, this cable only installs one way and doesn't have much "give" in the bend department. In all I'm very happy with this PCIe extension unit and recommend it!I hope this review helps you make an informed purchasing decision!

I was a bit dubious about this product at first. It doesn't bend much - you can only really mount this one way. If you have a case where you need the riser to bend 180 degrees, this is not it.However, it does actually work. I tested it on an RTX 3080 and no problems so far.
