Easily repaired some grout in my shower with this kit. Took the product at its word that I just needed to file down the bad lines, not remove completely. Got out the stained and gross grout, then back filled with the repair product. Waited the required time. Been a few weeks it's holding up fine.So just go for it, read the directions, do the thing. I've never done this in my life but it's not complicated. Just a little time and effort.

I had tried two different kinds of silicone based whitener caulk on my shower wall tile grout over the years and it had turned yellow and mildewy and unsightly over the years, I finally got motivated to remove it all and start fresh. I got a different kind of scraper that was just a V shape metal but that did not scrape anything at all, I learned these serrated teeth were absolutely the only way to saw out all that old grout, both the silicone and the cement-like grout - to give a totally clean base to lay down a new and better white line of real grout. It was hours of hard labor, but SOOOO much better than trying to put a layer down on top of whatever discolored blobby mess might already be there. I step into my white, clean-grout lined shower each day now and survey my pristine handiwork with pleasure. So glad I found this tool.
