This works really well for happy spices.I think the decorative mushroom imagery is really cool and I appreciate that the lid is held in place magnetically.

CONSISTENTLY gets stuck, hard to open, constantly using a towel or other object to help “hold†the different sections to loosen. Grinder also doesn’t work well, constantly using a different tool to “push†the pieces that don’t grind through… would have returned it, but just missed the return window, don’t waste your money. Super cute design, other than that- not even worth a $1.

I tried this on a few herbs and spices but it didn't fare well. It didn't cut the fresh herbs well at all. It did kind of grind up the dried spices, but the dehydrated ones not so much. I wanted to put it by my stove to do a quick grind on flavors....but it will not do it for the types of herbs and spices I use. It is tough on the wrists and hands for older people like me that have arthritis, but if you don't have that, you might be able to get it to work for you.
