This is made of decently thick glass and a metal lid/grinder, and it seems pretty sturdy and is easy to use. I got it because my last salt grinder had way too much plastic and I've been trying to cut back on that in my life.It is a bit smaller than I was expecting from the picture, but it's by no means tiny, either. The whole thing is a bit over five inches tall, and the receptacle itself is four inches tall (2 inches wide at the base and an inch and a half at the top), so it holds a fair amount if not a huge one. The size gives it a very comfortable size and weight to hold.There were no instructions, so it took me a minute (and a look at one of the product images lol) to figure out how to adjust the fineness of the grinder, but it's actually really easy -- you just twist the top bit of the grinder itself. Left for a coarser grind and right for a finer one. I like that you don't need to take it apart at all to adjust that, so you can go between salting food while you're cooking it and then quickly adjust it to salt the finished food. (I think I'm not the only person who likes to use very fine salt while cooking but like nice chunky grains when actually eating?)I've only used it on salt, not pepper, since I have a dedicated mortar and pestle for peppercorns (yes, I know, I'm a weirdo lol), but I don't see why it wouldn't work well on pepper as well.The part of me that likes historical recipes kind of wants to see how well this can grind chunks of a nice dense sugarloaf, but that is neither here nor there.It is, overall, a nice little salt grinder/peppermill that seems sturdy and is easy to use. (I will update this review if that impression changes, but as of right now, it's a solid 5 stars for quality and has a pretty good price.)

This salt grinder works as expected, and it can hold a good amount of salt. I was reluctant to give it a try although many friends told me electric grinders are great. I guess I did not want to try it before because I was afraid I would end up using too much salt when cooking. I cook often and when I cook, I cook big batches so you would not be good to ruin a whole dish just because I decided to try something newz Thankfully, it was not the case. it does not grind or let out too much salt at once. The floor is easy to manage. I am happy with the product. I think it is a five stars. It might take you a I few days to get used to it but once you get they just of how it work you will probably be glad you decided to get one. I hope this review was helpful. Thank you.

I use this to grind a custom salt/red pepper/citrus mix and it works great. And I always know how much I have left, cuz, ya know - glass.It lives next to a slightly larger pepper mill of a similar design - the mills seem to get along well living over the range together.

I got this pepper grinder to replace the one that I have been using for over 30 years. The one I have is handy, sturdy, and easy to use. I am having a hard time letting it go.I like the new pepper grinder for its look. A slim and modern shape that can be wiped clean easily. I like the weight of the glass. The cap is made of plastic though. Wish it was metal. The grinder does a good job cranking out different coarseness of pepper.The size is perfect for my everyday use. I just hope that it will last as long as my old trusty pepper grinder.

If you’ve never used real grey Celtic salt this may not make sense to you but finding a grinder that can deal with that level of moisture is not easy. Celtic salt has tons of natural minerals and is so high in magnesium that it is still literally wet from the sea out of the bag. Most grinders clog quick; so far this one has stood up to the minerals and I haven’t needed to clean the top yet. Time will tell if it continues to grind this wet salt without clogging but for now two thumbs up!

Really nice spice grinder. It’s grinds very fine and you can adjust the size for grinding as well. It’s a nice glass with lovely stainless steel top and removable lid. It works really well but I wish it would allow me to grind a bigger size; I like big spice chunks sometimes and it’s a little bit too fine for me but still good enough!

I ordered the Gulex Salt Grinder Pepper Mill to replace a large plastic pepper mill that I purchased from a large box store. This clear glass grinder looks really nice with pink Himalayan salt added to it.The pepper mill grinder is also made quality materials (stainless steel cap and thick glass body) and is easy to use. Although no directions were included in the box, adjusting the coarseness is easy to do by turning the nut clockwise for a fine grind and counterclockwise for a coarse grind. The wide mouth on the jar also makes refilling easy.Overall, this is a high quality grinder that looks nice and functions well in the kitchen.

This salt/pepper milk is fine. Other reviews indicate the grind is adjustable. I can turn the adjuster but it didn't seem to make a difference in coarseness of grind.The lid is all plastic and doesn't feel very substantial so I do not expect it to be long lasting. At one point in the grinding process it seems to just dump a bunch of salt at one time.It is a nice size and fits in the hand nicely. It will hold enough salt/pepper to last a good amount of time.
