Wow, I’m in love with this. It’s a bit pricey but it’s really good quality! It’s heavy but it’s heavy duty and will last you a long time. I love how easy it is to use and doesn’t tire your arm out when using it. Also, another feature I appreciate about this particular pepper grinder is that the fill area is large making it last a long time before the next fill AND I love how the cap stays lock once you’re done filling. I hate how other grinders have a knob on top and once in awhile it becomes lose. You don’t have to worry about that with this. Also, the knob to adjust the sizing of your peppers are good and consistent. Really happy with this.

A year ago I saw the Pepper Canon on kickstarter and didn't back. My brother ended up buying it this year and he loves it! He didn't like the $200 price tag, but he said it was worth it.The Popwood grinder seems to be the same type and build as the Pepper Canon, and with the 35% coupon it came out to $84 bucks! I bought it and absolutely love it. It's very well built, and spins buttery smooth! The amount of pepper that comes out is insane, and the control is awesome! You will not regret buying this! I love it so much I bought another for my best friend that loves to cook/grill.Just a couple things to note and not a negative in any way, but it does take some strength to grind, not a lot but some, so if you have arthritis or older with weak hand strength, maybe get an electric grinder. The second thing is that the adjustments on the bottom I believe have 1 thru 10, but you can swing the adjustment knob way more than one rotation which is awesome, but not sure why they put numbers instead of arrows and coarse and fine, unless numbers are more widely understood?? Anyway like I said not a negative at all just be aware. Now, go get it, you won't regret it!!UPDATE: Now that I have my glasses on lol! The grind size is marked with a numbered dial (1-10), and SYMBOLS of ascending circle sizes, and "COARSE" and "FINE" printed, so they have all basis covered.Aloha

This is heaven and does not adjust for a coarser grind. Also hard to twist.

Sucker puts out a lot of pepper at once, which I love when doing my steak or brisket. Easy to operate.. A lot heavier than I imagined. I'd buy again.. My brother is living with me and he still wants his own lol

I must have purchased a dozen or so pepper grinders over the years. I still have a gigantic Peugeot grinder of the sort used by Italian waiters in restaurants where they glide over to the table barely holding a gigantic grinder, a peppery expression of their own virility. Not practical for cooking. Other grinders just break, often resulting in a meal being ruined when a heap of peppercorns lands in your sauce. This is different. It is heavy, metal, with a ratcheted grind mechanism which delivers the pepper just right and with minimal effort. I am very pleased with it. The little receptacle is excellent for holding the grounds for targeted delivery. There is a knack to replenishing the peppercorns which I propose to keep to myself, as one thing I have noticed is that other members of my family have issues with following instructions. It is not cheap, but it is durable, and I am looking forward to leaving it in my will...

This is genuinely a fairly heavy duty rival to the pepper cannon and also the Hexclad grinder. It's heavy duty, has a push button release for the lid to refill, and has several different coarseness settings with fast delivery for less cranking. I loved it right up until 20 minutes ago, when, after 40 days of ownership, it now free wheels and doesn't grind anything at all. It appears that the cast pin on the disk that fits into the grinding teeth to make it turn has snapped after just over a month. Normally I would contact the seller and request a replacement because I liked everything else about it (and hopefully this is a one off faulty item), but unfortunately Amazon does not offer that contact option. Unfortunately I have to give it just one star because I believe that a 40 pound grinder should last longer than 40 days! If you are the seller reading this then feel free to contact me for more details!

This is a substantial and heavy duty peppercorn grinder. It feels well made and works very well. There are instructions with it that tell you how to "set" the dial you use to select the coarseness of the pepper. After that, in the outer section of the bottom there's a guide to show which way to turn the dial to get more or less fine output, along with number on the outside of the metal dial, and an arrow on the part that you move to select. All of this has a reassuring solidity to it.The base has a cover for it that fits very snugly - and you need it because, on mine at least, there always seems to be fine pepper trying to escape. Often I don't even need to actually use the mill itself, and just use the pepper from the base. The top of the mill has a central button that you press to release it from the body in order to add more peppercorns .. DO NOT press this whilst holding only onto the top, in mid-air!!When rotating the body to grind the pepper, it works well and doesn't need many rotations to get a good amount of pepper out.We did joke that it looked and felt a bit like some military weapon more than something you'd use in the kitchen, but I get the feeling it will be working for a good long while.
