I had a lesser-quality pastry blender with blades that constantly bent in use and had to be bent back into place. Which had an obvious result- they broke. Found this one: I didn’t know such quality existed in the pastry blender universe! Wow! So sturdy, like it’s all one strong piece. And the handle is so much more comfortable, and it’s taller. I use it for mashing potatoes as well as for pastry making. I got the larger handle size - even though I have small hands, the dimensions of the smaller one seemed really narrow. I’m so happy I did - I cook my potatoes in the instant pot and I can mash them right in the hot pot and just adjust my hand on the handle to keep clear of the sides of the pot as I go around. One of the best kitchen tool purchases I’ve ever made.

This was expensive compared to other ones I have but the handle is comfortable and it works well. It is easy to clean. I like it.

I rarely make pastry any more but when I do this will be a good addition I'm pretty sure. However we use it for mashing potatoes and it is the best. I have at least four mashers of various kinds and can't get rid of any of them because someone in the family has his-her favorite for something and all of them have one job they excel at. But this new one, I have noticed, without my mentioning anything about it to anyone in the family, has turned into the one they all go to to mash potatoes. It's low slung, easy to hold, the action of pushing down is great for mashing potatoes, and it works fast. We always go over the mashed potatoes with a fork just to make sure they're smooth but we have always done that with any masher. The trick with this, or any masher with lots of rungs full of starchy food is to have a sink full of soapy water to put it right into. Then it is super easy to clean with a few rubs.

My husband makes the best pie crust. He has tried several pastry cutters. He likes this one the best. It doesn’t feel flimsy like most cutters. Nice and sturdy. I highly recommend this.

This is of good quality but I feel like the wires are a little to close so the butter just gets matted on there and instead you smosh the butter around instead of making it crumble.

I received this pastry blender and I absolutely love it!! It does a marvelous job of cutting cold butter into the ingredients. Some people complain about issues with its use in a bowl, but if you use a spatula to scrape down the bowl, it works just fine. I have no problem with butter/dough sticking to the blades. I had been using the traditional wire pastry for years and absolutely hated the fact that the handle wasn't fixed in place and kept "rolling" around, getting everything stuck in it. This blender solves all those problems and is a joy to use. I am keeping the old blender as it was handed down from my Mother and has sentimental value. But this item is definitely worth investing in. Hey, if a world-famous and highly respected baking supply sells this item it must have passed stringent testing to meet their approval. I ordered it on Amazon as there's free shipping. I highly recommend this great item!

This cutter works great. I do alot of baking and need to cut cold butter very frequently those is the best one I've ever owned.
