The swivel is great if you need it. The stand is sturdy, easy to assemble and looks good.I wanted more space underneath my TV for a center channel speaker. I was going to get a large center channel and use that as a stand, but then it wouldn't swivel. This is much nicer solution and let me get a smaller center channel (since I didn't really need such a large speaker). There are 3 heights to place the back plate that the TV hangs on. Then there are three heights that the rails, attached to the back of the TV, can hook onto the plate at.For a 55" Sony A80J, I used the plate in the highest position on the stand and then hooked the rails on the lowest position. Meaning, I could raise the TV up a few more inches even. Also, I centered the back rails best I could, they aren't perfectly centered as the holes didn't match up for that, but it's close. In this position, this TV has about 7.25" clearance. It should have a tiny bit more so that if you put 7.25" speaker or object underneath, it could still swivel.I use Klipsch speakers so this fits the RP-250C underneath (among others). I would suspect pretty much any sound bar to also fit. This is a good bit of space underneath for a 55" TV and I know there can even be some more.Installation was easy. I love this brand's products as they've always been clean looking and of good quality. However, I do worry a little bit about it's stability going backwards. Pushing on the stand (without TV on it yet) I could feel how sturdy it was going forward. Very. Your TV won't fall forward. However, you can tip it over somewhat easily by pushing backwards. So, if it's against a wall, you're ok. Worst case something hits it from the front (and doesn't already crack your screen or something) and it'll bump off the wall and back down. Otherwise, I would seriously put something on the back to help stabilize in that direction. You can always get something to further add stability. I don't consider this a fatal flaw by any means...but if you do have an open area behind the TV, just be aware that the stability is not as strong in that direction.

I originally purchased this for use with my 55†LG OLED TV, since I recently moved and now have the TV on a mantle. The OEM stand isn’t quite tall enough for the front of the TV to clear my soundbar, making controlling it a bit of a problem since the IR receiver is at the bottom front of the TV. This mount allows me to raise the TV enough to clear the soundbar and alleviate the issue. I then upgraded my TV from a 55†OLED to a 77†OLED, and this mount works great and is very stable even for that much larger TV. I like how it’s adjustable and swivels a bit, since I like switching up my AV equipment every couple of years, and this will allow me to adjust for various size soundbars or even fairly large center channel speakers. Assembly and installation was very easy. Highly recommended!

We recently upgraded our living room TV to a slightly larger model, which turned out not to have a stand that would allow space for a sound bar as our previous TV had. We needed a stand mount. Originally, we bought one from the same store as we purchased the TV, but we were sorely disappointed in the difficulty of assembly and the lack of sturdiness (a couple of large D-rings bolted around a central column). Not least of our cinema was the fact that the TV wobbled slightly anytime we walked past. Not wanting to risk a falling and breaking situation, I hopped on Amazon and found this mount for half the price we'd spent on the first one. I then spent a few hours reading independent rating articles to see if it really was as good as Amazon made it sound, and it turns out to be one of the most popular TV stands currently available.Pros:- Easy to assemble. Compared to the previous mount, this thing was a snap.- Sturdy, solid design. There are no superfluous pieces, it's easy to see how to adjust as needed, and attaching the TV is simple and (relative to the size of the TV) effortless. This stand does not wobble when it is walked past, even when a rabid toddler goes thundering by. I have no concerns about whether my TV might fall.- Smooth swivel action. It really is fingertip -pressure easy, and it gives a nice range of angles.Cons (barely):-Cord management is a couple of hooks on the back of the central column. If for some reason, you have multiple cords that you need to tuck away, this is not going to be the most viable solution without some additional effort.-Doesn't tilt. Frankly, we don't need this feature, but the previous (much lower quality, especially given the price) stand did have that going for it.

I needed a TV stand that I could elevate up in order to see the football scores and news feeds at the bottom of the screen. Purchased this model as it had great reviews and seemed like it would raise the TV up enough. One I purchased before I had to return as it did not accomplish that goal. This is a solid stand and was for the most part easy to assemble, with one issue. One of the support screws that was critical in supporting the heavy TV came completely smooth. in other words, NO THREADS! Very frustrating as you might imagine as I had arranged for someone to come over that night and help me mount the TV to the stand. So, I called the manufacturer and ordered the replacement screw. Was advised it would take about a week to arrive, which it did. Customer service person was friendly and understood the issue. So, I got the new screw and Now I couldn't be happier with the new TV stand. Very heavy smoked glass base looks fantastic. The swivel works smoothly and allows for more than enough swivel too adjust the screen when needed. Very good value. Highly recommend and would buy again.

have a 55" samsung tv, hung it on the topmost bracket. The look of the stand is great, cable router works if the cables are long enough. Puts the tv up higher, and seems very sturdy. Liking it!

We bought a bigger TV, but didn’t want to get rid of our glass stand or put anything up on the wall, so we bought this. It is very sturdy and looks great! Room underneath TV to hold sound bar. A little confusing on the instructions, but overall not too bad. I would recommend this.
