I recently tried out this grooming tool on a variety of pets, including poodles, doodles, cats, and a hefty double-coated dog. The tool, equipped with a metal comb and a deshedder, impressed me with its ability to handle different types of fur, from removing mats to tackling serious shedding issues. While it worked wonders on larger pets, making grooming sessions quick and reducing fur buildup in the house significantly, it was a bit too bulky for my smaller cats. However, its effectiveness on my long-haired feline friend and the ease of use on my dog, who usually dislikes grooming, made up for this minor inconvenience.The grooming tool's design, featuring a comfortable grip and durable construction, adds to its appeal, though the deshedder's size could be an issue for pets with more delicate frames. Despite this, the sheer amount of fur it removes and the overall improvement in my pets' coat health is remarkable. It's a solid choice for pet owners dealing with a variety of coat types and lengths, especially for those with long-haired breeds. The inclusion of a steel comb is a nice touch for finer grooming details, although the tool itself could hold onto fur a bit better to minimize cleanup.Overall, this grooming tool has become a staple in my pet care routine, offering a professional-level grooming experience for a fraction of the price. It's not without its flaws, particularly for smaller pets or those with short hair, but its strengths in dealing with thick, long fur make it a worthy investment.

Our dog is a Bouvier and was originally bred to be a herding dog taking care of sheep and sleeping in the wild...he now herds us and sleeps inside. They have a longer coat with a dense structure and if you don't brush them regularly it's easy for them to get knots which need to be cut out.We have another brush we've been using to clean out dead undercoat but it pulls at his coat more that it should which is uncomfortable for him...he doesn't like being groomed to begin with...must be his French heritage. What's nice about this new brush is that it has two sides....one with few teeth which works to remove knots and then one with more teeth to rake through the now clear area removing undergrowth and dead hair without hurting the dog.Both the brush and the comb are very robust and well made. My hands are not that large and I find the grip a little on the smaller side, so if you have large hands, you might not find this fits you well, but I think most people will and the grip on the handle is good, so it won't move around in your hand.Price seems very fair for this quality pair of grooming tools and made so well I doubt you'll need to buy another set...ever.

I wish I would’ve taken pictures of all the fur that came up when I was using this brush on my Ragdoll cat.It was jaw dropping.My house is loaded with cat hair, I’m constantly cleaning up fur. It’s overwhelming at times.I have almost every tool and brush you can think of.That being said I’ve seen metal brushes like this but never thought it’d work that much better than any of the other types so never purchased.This brush immediately pulled up wads of hair, I couldn’t believe it.It removed so much hair, my advice for cat owners is set up for this prior to using.Cat hair is more dense than dog hair, as you brush cat air will fly up and away.I’d choose the right area in the house before starting.The 1st time I used it was in my kitchen, BIG mistake!I had to then clean my kitchen behind brushing the cat!I will never again use any bristle type brush or glove, this is the only brush for my fuzzy cat.Hoping over time this will help eliminate loose shedding hair, which I’m patiently looking forward to

This metal “brush†seems to be well-made; however, my dog does not like it to be used on him. If your dog’s hair isn’t perfectly silky and straight, the rakes (teeth) get caught in the fur and pull at it, hurting them. Since he does sometimes get little matts in his fur, this isn’t something I’ll be using on him (I’ll be getting them out by hand and using a gentle bristle brush). My dog though, doesn’t shed, so maybe that has something to do with it not working on him too.It comes with a nice metal comb that is also well-made, but the problem is the same with that. I’m thinking that it’s just the type of fur he has (with the occasional matt) that doesn’t lend itself to being combed like that.

I recently received this Brush and Comb Combo for my retriever and I have been extremely impressed with its performance. While it may not be the most high-end option on the market, for the cost, it definitely gets the job done.The rake in particular is the star of this grooming set, as it effectively removes loose fur from my dog's coat. My retriever tends to shed quite a bit, especially during the warmer months, but this rake has drastically reduced the amount of hair that ends up all over my furniture and floors.I also appreciate the comb that comes with the set, as it is perfect for smoothing out my dog's coat after using the rake. It is also great for getting rid of any tangles or mats that may have formed.Overall, I highly recommend this combo for anyone looking for an affordable yet effective grooming set for their furry friend. It may not be the most high-end option, but for the cost, it definitely gets the job done and has exceeded my expectations
